About Lance
Lance (YC W26) builds autonomous AI agents that run hotel operations end-to-end, from answering guest calls to managing workflows across systems. We work with leading hotel groups across brands like Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt, and are already deployed across 50+ properties in the U.S.

Our agents don’t just assist, they execute. They integrate directly into existing hotel systems, make real-time decisions, and handle complex, multi-step operations.

Role Overview
We’re hiring our Founding Product Designer to own the end-to-end user experience of our AI agents and the platforms our customers use to interact with them. You will be responsible for establishing Lance’s design language from the ground up, translating complex AI workflows into intuitive, elegant interfaces.

This is a high-ownership role for a product-minded designer who wants to define the look, feel, and function of a category-defining product.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the entire design process, from concept and wireframing to high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.

  • Translate complex user needs and product requirements into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

  • Work directly with the founders, product managers, and engineers to define both the long-term design vision and the short-term tactical execution.

  • Establish and own Lance’s design system, ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience across all platforms.

  • Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and advocate for the user.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering to bridge the gap between design and front-end implementation, ensuring pixel-perfect execution.

What We’re Looking For

  • A world-class portfolio showcasing your expertise in UI/UX, visual design, and product thinking is required. Please provide a link to your portfolio in your application.

  • Experience in product design, with a focus on complex B2B SaaS or enterprise applications.

  • Deep expertise in modern design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).

  • A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and a passion for solving complex problems.

  • High ownership and a bias for action; you are comfortable moving fast and creating structure where it doesn’t exist.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate your design decisions.

  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript/React) is a major plus.

Why This Role

  • Define the design culture and principles from day one.

  • High ownership over the entire product experience.

  • Work directly with the founders on core product decisions.

  • Build a real, impactful system, not just decks.

Total Compensation
$100,000 - $160,000 Cash, Equity, Bonus
