Our Mission

At Ampersand, we are building scalable integration infrastructure that delivers real-time context to AI agents in seconds. Our declarative platform, 150+ open-source connectors, and embeddable UI components give developers the building blocks they need to ship deep, bidirectional integrations.

We power cutting-edge AI companies like 11x, Orb, Square, and Crunchbase. Almost every engineering team that has evaluated us against other solutions has chosen to use Ampersand. As our product and brand evolve, we're looking for great people to join our experienced team of former Firebase, AWS, Meta and Square engineers and operators.

About Us

Ampersand was founded in 2022 by Ayan Barua and Lauren Long — two engineers and repeat founders with a rare combination of developer tools and SaaS experience. You can learn more about our full team here.

We've raised Series A funding from top-tier investors known for their early-stage bets on generational companies like Anthropic, Apple, Twilio, Supabase, and Vercel.

Together, we believe:

  • This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build the connectivity infrastructure for AI. Seizing this moment requires passion, hard work, and continuous learning. At the same time, this is a marathon, not a sprint.

  • Velocity comes from great strategic decisions, not doing the 99 things you don't have to do.

  • In five core values that shape how we work every day: Craft, Customer Empathy, Ownership Mindset, Velocity, and Humility.

The Role

We're hiring a Founding Product Manager to take over a product layer that's been founder-owned until now. You'll work alongside the CTO, a founding engineering team, and in close contact with customers to define what gets built, why, and when.

This role requires genuine technical fluency, strong customer instincts, and the ability to operate with minimal structure. If you thrive in cross-functional environments where decisions travel in writing and customer feedback shapes the roadmap, then this role is built for you.

What You’ll Own
  • Customer Feedback Loop — Gather requirements, prioritize work, unblock engineers, project-manage delivery, and close the loop with customers when things ship.

  • Connector Experience — Own the product experience for Ampersand connectors — an open-source project that drives the API-specific product features customers depend on.

  • Customer Support — Help manage customer inquiries when questions require product judgment or a deeper understanding of a customer's implementation.

  • Technical Depth — Dive into API documentation or code when needed to understand implementation tradeoffs and push back on decisions that affect the customer experience.

  • API Partnerships — Build partnerships with API providers that have developer ecosystem or partnership programs.

  • Quality & Coverage — Identify opportunities to improve connector quality, reliability, usability, and coverage across the platform.

  • Internal Automation — Use AI tools to build automations and workflows that make the team faster.

What You’ll Bring
  • 3+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, developer tools, infrastructure, or enterprise software

  • You've worked directly alongside engineering teams to ship technical products

  • Technical enough to read API docs, review implementation tradeoffs, and push back on decisions that affect the customer experience

  • Strong customer discovery instincts; you find signal in conversations, not just dashboards

  • Excellent written communication

  • A track record of making prioritization calls and defending them with data and customer context

  • Professional engineering experience is a strong plus.

The Perks
  • Competitive salary and equity

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Free lunch on in-office days (Mon/Tue/Thu)

  • 401(k) with company match, commuter benefits, HSA

  • Up to 4 weeks PTO

  • Team socials and retreats
