Each year, 2.5 trillion hours are spent on household chores. At Matic, we’re on a mission to recapture that lost time, and we’re doing it by revolutionizing home robotics.
Our first product, also called Matic, is a Wall-E-esque floor cleaning robot. We've built what amounts to "full self-driving in the home” with real-time 3D mapping, adaptive path-tracking, and a precise semantic understanding of the home. Our breakthroughs in spatial AI allow Matic to work reliably in real homes, using only RGB cameras and neural networks running on-device.
Privacy FirstWhat happens in the home, stays in the home. Our robots are private by design, with all data processing performed by the robot itself, not in the cloud.
Our ApproachBefore the iPhone, consumers adopted several distinct devices; cell phones, PDAs, and portable music players each served a particular need. We believe in a similar progression for home robotics, starting with single-purpose robots and building iteratively toward more complex capabilities over time.
Our CultureMatic is a tight-knit and collaborative team, singularly focused on building products our customers will cherish. We're ultra-hardworking people committed to solving tough problems that save precious time and energy.
About the roleWhat You'll DoBuild and manage high-quality pipelines for technical roles across robotics, ML/AI, embedded systems, and software engineering
Develop creative, research-driven sourcing strategies to find candidates who aren't actively looking
Write outreach that resonates — personalized, specific, and reflective of a genuine understanding of the candidate's background
Partner closely with hiring managers and founders to deeply understand what "great" looks like for each role
Maintain a sharp, accurate view of the talent landscape — who's doing interesting work, where, and why they might be open to a conversation
Continuously refine your approach based on what's working and what's not
You don't need a script; you can reason through a hard problem, craft a strategy, and adjust on the fly. You bring intellectual rigor to sourcing the same way a strong engineer brings it to a technical problem.
You're not here to run a funnel or hit a closing rate. You care about finding the right people for the right roles, and you trust that good judgment and honest conversations get better outcomes than pressure tactics.
You're mission-driven. You want to be at Matic specifically. You're excited about what we're building and that energy comes through in every conversation you have with a candidate.
You're comfortable with ambiguity and ownership. We're a small team. You won't have a large recruiting org around you. You'll need to set your own priorities, build your own processes from scratch, and operate with a high degree of independence.
