POSITION OVERVIEW 

Lead the architecture and technical direction for client's next-generation digital banking platform across React Web and React Native mobile channels. Define and govern the frontend architecture, including scalable microfrontend architecture, shared component libraries, enterprise design systems, mobile application architecture, accessibility, performance optimization, engineering standards, and secure integration with enterprise APIs and cloud-native backend services. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Define the architecture for React Web and React Native applications supporting client's digital banking channels.  
  • Define the frontend and microfrontend architecture, including application shell, domain-driven modules, routing, shared dependencies, deployment boundaries, runtime composition, and independent release strategies.  
  • Establish governance for shared component libraries, design systems, versioning, cross-application communication, and reusable frontend assets across web and mobile platforms.  
  • Define application architecture patterns for state management, navigation, routing, API integration, client-side security, offline capabilities, and data synchronization.  
  • Define secure mobile architecture patterns, including biometric authentication, secure credential storage, device capabilities, and platform-specific best practices.  
  • Partner with UX designers to translate business and experience requirements into scalable, accessible, and responsive user interfaces.  
  • Establish frontend engineering standards, coding guidelines, and architecture principles to ensure consistency, maintainability, and scalability.  
  • Optimize application performance, responsiveness, accessibility, and cross-browser/device compatibility across web and mobile platforms.  
  • Lead architecture reviews, technical design reviews, code reviews, and technology evaluations while mentoring frontend engineering teams.  
  • Collaborate with Solution Architecture, Backend, Integration, Cloud, DevSecOps, QA, and Product teams to deliver an integrated end-to-end digital banking platform.  
  • Support production readiness, release planning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 8+ years of experience designing and delivering enterprise React Web and React Native applications, including 3+ years in Front End Architecture, Technical Leadership, or Solution Design roles.  
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.  
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering large-scale, customer-facing digital platforms using Agile delivery methodologies.  
  • Experience designing microfrontend architectures, reusable component libraries, and enterprise design systems for distributed engineering teams.  
  • Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture patterns, cloud-native application development, secure application design, and API-driven integrations.  
  • Hands-on experience using enterprise-approved AI-assisted engineering tools with appropriate governance, traceability, human review, and validation. 

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS 

  • React, React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3  
  • Frontend and Microfrontend Architecture, including Module Federation (or equivalent), application shell, runtime composition, and independently deployable frontend modules  
  • Responsive Web Architecture, Mobile-First Design, and Progressive Web App (PWA) concepts  
  • State Management, Routing, Navigation, and Client-Side Architecture (Redux or equivalent)  
  • RESTful API Integration, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and JWT-based authentication  
  • Component Libraries, Design Systems, and reusable UI architecture  
  • Accessibility Standards (WCAG 2.1 AA) and inclusive design principles  
  • Frontend Performance Optimization, lazy loading, code splitting, caching, and rendering optimization  
  • Secure Mobile Application Development, including biometric authentication, secure credential storage (Keychain/Keystore), offline synchronization, and device capabilities  
  • Git-based Source Control, CI/CD collaboration, and modern frontend engineering practices 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience delivering enterprise digital banking, financial services, or other highly regulated customer-facing platforms.  
  • Experience architecting React Web and React Native applications using mobile-first, responsive, and cross-platform design principles.  
  • Experience implementing microfrontend architectures using Module Federation or an equivalent frontend composition framework.  
  • Experience integrating frontend applications with Azure-hosted APIs, microservices, API gateways, and cloud-native backend services.  
  • Experience establishing enterprise design systems, shared component libraries, and frontend engineering standards across multiple applications and teams.  
  • Experience implementing secure mobile application capabilities, including biometric authentication, secure credential storage, and offline synchronization.  
  • Experience leading frontend modernization initiatives, technical governance, and architecture reviews for large-scale enterprise digital platforms.

  • Designs scalable, secure, and maintainable frontend architectures that support enterprise web and mobile digital banking experiences.  
  • Champions engineering excellence by establishing architecture standards, design system governance, accessibility, performance, and code quality best practices.  
  • Drives technical leadership and collaboration across Product, UX, Solution Architecture, Cloud, Backend, Integration, QA, and DevSecOps teams to deliver cohesive end-to-end solutions.  
  • Mentors and guides frontend engineering teams through architecture reviews, technical decision-making, and adoption of modern engineering practices and emerging technologies. 

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 64,000
Maximum Compensation: USD 224,000
Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
