Our client is on a mission to help accelerate housing development by modernizing one of the biggest bottlenecks in the building process: permitting.
Backed by strong investor support and experiencing rapid customer demand, the team is in an early, high-growth phase. This is an opportunity to join a small, senior group where engineers have significant ownership and can see their work quickly adopted by real users in the public sector.
This role is ideal for a builder who wants to move fast, shape product direction, and help establish the technical foundation of a scaling platform.
The RoleAs a Full-Stack Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping the product, technical architecture, and engineering culture. You’ll work closely with customers, ship frequently, and help build the foundation the platform will scale on.
Tech StackThe team intentionally uses proven, pragmatic technologies to enable fast delivery:
Front end: React with Radix Themes
Back end: Remix (Node.js) with Prisma ORM (Postgres)
Language: Full-stack TypeScript
Infrastructure: AWS with CDK
The team combines strong engineering fundamentals with modern AI tooling to accelerate development and unlock smarter workflows.
Agentic patterns are integrated into the codebase for automation
Engineers are encouraged to explore new AI capabilities
Pair programming, code walkthroughs, and regular AI knowledge sharing are core practices

Skills & QualificationsThe ideal candidate is a strong product-focused builder who:
Has 2+ years of professional full-stack product development experience
Is fluent and comfortable with React
Is mission- and user-oriented rather than tied to specific technologies
Is product-minded, curious, and empathetic toward user experience
Moves quickly and finds creative ways to ship early
Has experimented with AI in their development workflow
Communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Is based on the West Coast, with strong preference for the SF Bay Area
