Full-Stack Implementation Engineer

Our Implementation Engineer is a Full Stack Engineer that will build, configure, and maintain scalable data extraction workflows using intelligent document processing as well as performing Web Development to support end‑to‑end solution delivery. This Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into reliable, scalable solutions that drive operational efficiency. They contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of our customer portals, designing and delivering new features across the full stack. Additionally, this Implementation Engineer supports Azure cloud infrastructure, including deployment pipelines, environment configuration, monitoring, system health, and optimizing performance to ensure stability.

Salary Range $80,000 ~ $100,000
The base pay offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and may fall outside of this range.

Work Location
Our preference is for this employee to reside within the state of Wisconsin, allowing them to fully benefit from hybrid work options and in‑person collaboration when needed. Employees within 45 miles of WPS Headquarters (1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI, 53713) will be expected to be able to work in the corporate office and/or mailroom facility 3 days a week on a regular basis.

• Have supported or are interested in supporting Azure cloud infrastructure efforts including deployment pipelines, environment configuration, system monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Have participated in Agile Scrum ceremonies and maintained accurate, up-to-date tracking of work items, progress and technical dependencies in Azure DevOps.
• Thrive when troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving platform issues, driving continuous improvements in stability, reliability and performance of platform solutions.
• Can document configurations, processes, and technical decisions to support team knowledge sharing and long-term maintainability.

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or related field or equivalent professional experience.
• 3 or more years of experience in full-stack development using modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React/Vite) and backend technologies such as Java or C#, including hands-on experience building RESTful APIs and scalable service architectures.
• Demonstrated experience working in an Agile Scrum environment, contributing to sprint ceremonies and managing work items in Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Strong communication skills, with ability to translate technical concepts to both engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to rapidly learn and apply intelligent document processing platforms, tools and frameworks to design end-to-end extraction and automation solutions for real world business challenges.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with a focus on diagnosing complex technical issues and delivering reliable high-quality implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

• An understanding of enterprise document workflows and imaging systems, including scanned image processing, OCR, and data movement – especially in government, healthcare, or other regulated sectors.
• Working knowledge of modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline configuration, and system monitoring to deliver reliable and secure platform operations.
• Exposure to IDP tools such as ABBYY Vantage/Open Text Intelligent Capture.
• Experience or knowledge building data ingestion, processing, and analytical pipelines in the Azure Cloud.
• An individual who has an entrepreneurial spirit and is not afraid of trying new things.
• A strong change mindset, flexibility, and openness to suggestions on how this role will evolve and grow in our environment.
