Position: Full Stack - Software Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior-level Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java and Angular to support the design, development, and delivery of a modern operational reporting portal. The successful candidate will help modernize legacy reporting solutions by translating existing business logic, SQL processes, and reporting functionality into a scalable enterprise web application deployed within a Microsoft Azure environment.

This role requires an experienced developer who can contribute across the full technology stack, from front-end user experiences to backend services, APIs, database integrations, and cloud deployments.

Key Responsibilities

Web User Interface Development

• Develop and maintain fully functional Angular front-end components.
  
• Create responsive, user-friendly, and accessible reporting interfaces.
  
• Develop and maintain unit testing and automated UI test coverage.
  
• Ensure solutions comply with accessibility standards and best practices.
  

API Development

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful API services.
  
• Expose report and reference data through secure and scalable APIs.
  
• Produce API documentation to support integration, versioning, and maintenance activities.
  

Backend Development & Data Integration

• Develop Java-based backend services and application components.
  
• Integrate applications with relational databases and data sources.
  
• Analyze, refactor, and migrate existing report logic, SQL code, and data transformation processes into modern application architecture.
  

Solution Delivery & DevOps

• Develop source code in accordance with project specifications and development standards.
  
• Utilize Azure DevOps for source control and deployment activities.
  
• Support CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment processes.
  
• Build solutions designed for scalability, performance, maintainability, and long-term supportability.
  

Knowledge Transfer & Documentation

• Create technical documentation as required.
  
• Perform knowledge transfer sessions with technical stakeholders and support teams.
  
• Document solution architecture, design decisions, and implementation details.
  

Required Qualifications

General Skills

• Extensive experience in software development, programming, and systems analysis.
  
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies.
  
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
  
• Proven ability to design, code, test, debug, and maintain enterprise applications.
  
• Strong experience working with relational databases and SQL.
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and deliver production-ready solutions with minimal supervision.
  

Technical Skills

Full Stack Development

• 8+ years of experience developing large-scale production applications using Java for backend and API development.
  
• 5+ years of experience developing applications using Angular or comparable modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
  
• Demonstrated experience delivering end-to-end full stack solutions.
  
• Experience making architecture and technology decisions across front-end, backend, database, and integration layers.
  

Database & Reporting Logic Migration

• Strong experience with relational database technologies and SQL.
  
• Proven ability to interpret, refactor, and modernize complex reporting and query logic.
  
• Experience with database design, optimization, and deployment.
  

API & Cloud Technologies

• Experience designing, developing, and documenting REST API services.
  
• Experience deploying and supporting applications within Microsoft Azure environments.
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps deployment processes.
  

Software Engineering Best Practices

• Experience designing high-performance, scalable, and maintainable applications.
  
• Understanding of secure software development practices.
  
• Experience supporting modern DevOps and application lifecycle management practices.
  

Nice to Have

• Experience modernizing legacy reporting or business intelligence platforms.
  
• Working knowledge of Power BI.
  
• Working knowledge of Databricks.
  
• Knowledge of accessibility legislation, standards, and best practices.
  
• Experience producing technical documentation.
