Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Contract Management Leader to oversee the ITO & OTR Contract Management (CM) function for the Grid Automation and Software (GA&S) turnkey business. The position will also be responsible for the GA Contract Management (ITO and OTR).
This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between ITO (Inquiry to Order) and OTR (Order to Remittance) phases, ensuring risk identification and mitigation in large turnkey projects, process standardization, and contractual excellence in project life cycle. The ideal candidate brings extensive global experience in end-to-end contract life-cycle management, risk and opportunity management, b2b contracting and brings deep expertise in navigating complex contractual and commercial risk in turnkey projects.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • OTR (Order to Remittance) Excellence:

    • Contractual Governance: Enforce appropriate contract strategy in projects to define standardized procedures for Claims, Variation Orders (VO) and contractual notifications.

    • Risk & Opportunity Management: Provide strategic support for project risk/opportunity identification and mitigation.

    • Capacity Building: Develop and mentor the Project Management (PM) community on essential CM practices and promote usage of AI for pro-active contract management.

    • Dispute Resolution: Lead contractual strategy and support in the event of potential or active disputes.

  • ITO (Inquiry to Order) Strategy

    • Risk Assessment: Challenge Return on Risk (ROR) assessments during Tender Deal Reviews and develop robust mitigation strategies.

    • Process Efficiency: Streamline GA&S ITO instructions to ensure consistency and quality across all GA offers and improve PO issuance process.

    • Develop standardized Cyber Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) to mitigate cyber risks, mapped against regional regulations

  • R&D & Sourcing Integration

    • Software Monetization: Identify and capture claim/ revenue opportunities within software-heavy deals.

    • Strategic Sourcing: Partner with Sourcing to implement B2B contracting practices that effectively transfer project risk,

  • Global Capability Development

    • Training & Enablement: Design and facilitate global training programs covering core ITO and OTR principles and processes (e.g., PROC050, ITO-to-OTR handovers, GS2GS frameworks, and PM workshops).

    • Regional Support: Provide targeted support for regions with a low maturity index by improving CM practices in ITO & OTR community.

    • Specialized Workshops: Conduct dedicated workshops for regional ITO/ OTR teams focused on contract strategy, risk-opportunity management, case studies, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college

  • Experience: At least 14+ years’ experience in contract management on both ITO & OTR side with a proven track record in international contracts within electrical industry or related fields.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to assess project risks and translate them into actionable contractual strategy.

  • Communication: Ability to influence global stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams in diverse regulatory environments.

  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of the intersection between B2B procurement, project delivery, and electrical/software service contracts.

  • Ability for international travel (approx 4 time in a year) and flexibility to work in different time zones.

Desired Skills:

  • Legal and Project Managment experience would have added advantage

  • Good interpersonal and responsive skills
