This role combines strategic program ownership with hands-on execution. You will manage workplace safety, ergonomics, inspections, training, incident management, and continuous improvement efforts while owning site-specific emergency response plans and the People team crisis management program. You will partner closely with Workplace, Facilities, Security, Legal, People, and business leaders to ensure the organization is prepared to respond effectively to workplace incidents and critical events.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:

  • Lead and manage the global EH&S function, including program strategy, standards, policies, and day-to-day execution.

  • Oversee compliance with applicable EH&S regulations and workplace safety requirements, including OSHA regulations and coordination with regional or local requirements as needed.

  • Drive workplace safety programs, including hazard identification, risk assessments, inspections, incident reviews, corrective actions, and continuous improvement efforts.

  • Oversee and continuously improve the company’s ergonomics program, including assessments, employee guidance, workstation improvements, and prevention-focused initiatives.

  • Develop and maintain global site-specific emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, shelter-in-place guidance, medical response considerations, and local emergency protocols.

  • Own and manage the People team crisis management program, while supporting the development and maintenance of other crisis management plans across the organization as needed.

  • Plan and lead emergency preparedness activities such as fire evacuations, executive safety drills, first aid training, and other readiness exercises across office locations.

  • Develop and maintain EH&S and crisis management training, awareness materials, and communications to strengthen employee preparedness and program engagement.

  • Track program metrics, audit findings, incident trends, and corrective actions, and provide regular updates and recommendations to leadership.

  • Manage external vendors, consultants, and tools that support EH&S compliance, training, ergonomics, emergency response, and crisis readiness.

  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships to strengthen workplace safety, compliance, resilience, and employee experience globally.

  • Manage the operational response to crisis events affecting employees, offices, or workplace operations, ensuring timely decision-making, coordination, communication, and follow through.

WE'D LOVE TO TALK IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

  • 10+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety, occupational safety, emergency management, crisis management, or a related field.

  • Experience leading or managing EH&S programs globally.

  • Familiarity with EH&S, emergency response, or crisis management tools and platforms, and ability to evaluate, implement, or manage new systems as program needs evolve.

  • Strong working knowledge of workplace safety regulations, OSHA requirements, risk assessments, inspections, incident management, and corrective action processes.

  • Experience developing or managing emergency response plans, crisis management programs, or workplace preparedness initiatives.

  • Experience leading drills, exercises, or training programs related to emergency response, evacuations, first aid, or workplace safety.

  • Experience managing cross-functional programs and influencing stakeholders across a global organization.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing policies, training materials, and leadership updates.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, make sound decisions, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to be on-site 3+ days/week and flexible in supporting after-hours escalations when needed.

  • Deep understanding of global regulatory and compliance requirements.

  • Experience with ergonomics, workplace injury prevention, and employee safety program design.

  • Passion for workplace innovation, people-centric design, and elevating employee experiences.

  • Ability to remain calm, proactive, and adaptable in fast-changing or high-pressure environments.

  • Serve as a role model for ethical business conduct, positive energy, and collaborative teamwork, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment.

  • Experience building and developing high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and career support.

  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, ISO 45001/14001 training, CBCP, or FEMA ICS/NIMS coursework are a plus

  • Ability to perform site safety activities that may require walking office floors, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or moving items related to workplace safety or emergency response.
