Global Project Management Office (PMO) Manager

The Global PMO Manager will be responsible for running a Project Management Office and supporting services presales for strategic pursuits across multiple sales regions.

The PMO Manager will focus on ensuring all projects are successfully sourced, launched and delivered using a ‘best-practice’ project management approach and delivered within the agreed scope, time, cost and quality. The PMO Manager will oversee, hire, and mentor PMO team resources. This hands-on role will develop or expand existing PMO processes and tools to utilize across the professional services project portfolio. The PMO Manager will build an effective global PMO function as a center of excellence focused on building a consistent and differentiated customer on-boarding approach.

 

This role will report to the Vice President, Professional Services and be located in the United States.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and manage a team of 10-20 PMO resources including project managers and project coordinators.

  • Mentor and managed PMO resources to successfully execute Delinea professional services projects from start to finish, including areas of:

    • Program / Project Planning

    • Risk mitigation strategies

    • Communication strategies and practices

    • Budgeting and financial controls.

  • Keep abreast of project progress and identify early warning signs of troubled projects; intervene and escalate as required.

  • Monitor the overall health and performance of Delinea’s PS project portfolio, leveraging reports and dashboards, including scope, schedule, quality, and budget.

  • Actively participate in customer-escalations, contributing to risk mitigation strategies and issue resolutions.

  • As the face of the PMO, attend Pre-Sales QBR / Client Meetings as appropriate for larger strategic engagements, to represent the PS value within the overall relationship.

  • Support and evolve the PMO center of excellence including establishment of best practices, processes, and tools aligned around PMI standards.

  • Support proper assignment of technical and non-technical resources to projects.

  • Serve as an escalation point for project and client-raised issues.

  • Perform quality assurance reviews on strategic, stalled, or troubled projects to identify issues and make remediation recommendations.

  • Identify and champion project management, project execution, and internal process improvements.

 
 

What You'll Bring:

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking. Must be organized, flexible and able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Excellent client facing and internal communication skills. Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, presentation, technical communication skills across all levels of the organization including executive leadership.

  • Knowledge of and success performing in a role within a Project Management Office for large programs.

  • Ability to assimilate and analyze information efficiently and effectively.

  • Experience in leading project teams and collaborating with team members.

  • Ability to apply project management knowledge to provide overall guidance to the PMO and project teams.

  • Skilled in MS Office, Smartsheets (preferred), Certinia PSA (preferred), and Confluence (preferred)

  • Experience in PAM security, IT security, network, and IoT technologies (preferred).

  • 10 years serving in a client-facing services sales / delivery role.

  • Experience in areas of customer relationship management, financial management, contract admin and negotiation, policies and procedures, and/or program management.

  • Experience working with enterprise and strategic accounts (preferred).

  • Current PMP certification (preferred).

 

Must be within 45 minutes of a major regional airport (US based), with approximately 20% travel.
