We are looking for a Global Senior Domain Solution Architect, Enterprise Platforms, to lead the architecture and evolution of shared technology platforms that enable enterprise workflow, automation, cloud-native application capabilities, DevOps, IT service management, and reusable cross-functional services. This role ensures enterprise platforms are scalable, secure, compliant, cost-efficient, and aligned with business strategy and enterprise architecture principles.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to the development and evolution of the target architecture, technology roadmap, and reusable architecture standards for shared enterprise platforms, including workflow and service management, automation, DevOps, low-code/no-code, cloud platform services, and other reusable technology capabilities.

  • Develop solution architectures for the implementation, modernization, consolidation, integration, and continuous evolution of platforms within the Enterprise Platforms domain.

  • Deliver architecture services, governance activities, architecture modeling, and documentation across global programs, projects, product teams, and platform initiatives, including conceptual and logical architectures, platform blueprints, capability maps, technology standards, and architecture decision records.

  • Define and apply reusable architecture patterns, principles, standards, and reference architectures to improve platform consistency, interoperability, scalability, reuse, and long-term maintainability.

  • Evaluate platform capabilities, identify technology gaps and functional overlaps, and provide recommendations regarding platform adoption, modernization, consolidation, rationalization, or retirement.

  • Support platform ownership and product teams in defining platform boundaries, shared services, technology roadmaps, lifecycle strategies, and non-functional requirements while promoting platform reuse, standardization, automation, and self-service capabilities.

  • Ensure platform architectures meet enterprise requirements for cybersecurity, data privacy, resilience, availability, business continuity, disaster recovery, GxP, and other applicable regulatory, quality, and compliance frameworks.

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure and Cloud, Data and Analytics, Integration, SAP, business application teams, vendors, and implementation partners to ensure architectural alignment, validate platform capabilities, and advise on emerging technologies and platform innovations relevant to Sandoz.

Key Performance Indicator:

  • Consistent, well-governed, secure, resilient, and cost-effective enterprise platform architectures supported by documented target architectures, technology roadmaps, standards, reusable architecture patterns, increased platform reuse and standardization, reduced technology duplication, and clearly defined ownership boundaries.

What You'll Bring to the Role:

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; master's degree preferred.

  • 5+ years of IT experience, including experience in solution, platform, domain, or enterprise architecture roles.

  • Experience designing, governing, or evolving shared enterprise technology platforms within complex global organizations.

  • Practical experience with enterprise platform technologies, including IT service management, enterprise workflow, automation, low-code/no-code, DevOps, cloud application platforms, container platforms, and developer enablement capabilities.

  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture concepts, including platform-as-a-service, container orchestration, cloud-native application services, identity and access management, observability, resilience, shared cloud services, and hybrid technology environments.

  • Understanding of DevOps and software delivery capabilities, including source code management, CI/CD, artifact management, automated testing, infrastructure as code, platform engineering practices, and modern application delivery approaches.

  • Ability to define platform boundaries, identify capability overlaps, translate business and technology requirements into scalable platform architectures and roadmaps, and apply architecture tools and modeling techniques such as ArchiMate, UML, BPMN, and SAP LeanIX.

  • Knowledge of non-functional architecture requirements, including cybersecurity, privacy, availability, performance, scalability, interoperability, business continuity, disaster recovery, supportability, applicable regulatory and quality frameworks (including GxP, data integrity, data privacy, and computerized system lifecycle requirements), combined with strong consulting, stakeholder management, communication, and enterprise architecture skills; fluent in English.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working across SaaS, PaaS, cloud, and on-premises environments, collaborating with application, data, integration, security, infrastructure, and operations teams.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or other highly regulated industries.
