SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

GLOBAL SUPPLY MANAGER, GPU/ACCELERATORS (STARLINK)

We are seeking a world-class Global Supply Manager to own end-to-end sourcing strategy, supplier management, and delivery of leading-edge GPUs and AI accelerators that power SpaceX's massive training clusters. In this role, you will partner deeply with responsible engineers to define commodity strategy, build multi-year technology roadmaps, establish approved vendor lists, and secure supply at the extreme velocities and scales SpaceX is driving. You will negotiate transformative agreements, deploy predictive supply chain systems, drive supplier co-innovation, and turn procurement into a strategic advantage that enables SpaceX to maintain its unprecedented build speed and compute leadership. The ideal candidate thrives in high-ambiguity, high-velocity environments, combines strong commercial acumen with technical depth, and has a proven track record delivering results in semiconductor/accelerator supply for hyperscale AI infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner deeply with responsible engineers, silicon architects, and hardware teams to co-define commodity strategy, multi-year technology roadmaps, and approved vendor lists for GPUs and AI accelerators, ensuring supply plans anticipate next-generation silicon, packaging, and interconnect roadmaps 12–24 months ahead
  • Own global sourcing end-to-end, including aggressive supplier qualification, dual/multi-sourcing strategies, and performance management to deliver unprecedented on-time delivery and lead-time compression while supporting SpaceX's record-breaking cluster build cadence
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends in AI silicon, advanced packaging, high-bandwidth memory, and accelerator architectures, then translate these into actionable strategies that keep SpaceX at the bleeding edge of compute performance and efficiency from total cost of ownership and maximize the tokenomics
  • Negotiate transformative commercial agreements that include not only pricing and volume, co-development commitments, early access to pre-production silicon, priority allocation during industry shortages, and long-term capacity reservations
  • Deploy predictive analytics, AI-driven demand forecasting, and real-time supply chain visibility tools to anticipate and mitigate risks (geopolitical, capacity, yield, wafer starts, or technology transition) before they impact build schedules
  • Act as a force multiplier across the organization by mentoring cross-functional teams on supply chain best practices and fostering a culture of ownership, speed, and technical depth

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience working in one or more of the following; or 10+ years of experience working in one or more of the following:
    • Business
    • Supply Chain
    • Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in global supply chain, procurement, sourcing, or commodity management, with a focus on semiconductors, GPUs, AI accelerators, or high-performance computing hardware

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong technical understanding of GPU/accelerator architectures, advanced packaging (e.g., CoWoS, HBM), wafer fabrication, and the semiconductor supply ecosystem
  • Proven track record managing sourcing for leading-edge silicon or accelerator technologies in hyperscale environments
  • Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth technology companies with aggressive scaling demands
  • Previous experience at hyperscalers, semiconductor companies, AI infrastructure firms, or Tier-1 foundry/OSAT partners
  • Demonstrated success delivering results in ambiguous, high-velocity environments with extremely aggressive timelines and massive scale
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Familiarity with commodity management, roadmap planning, vendor development, and approved vendor list processes
  • Passion for SpaceX's mission and excitement about enabling the fastest AI infrastructure builds on Earth

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support supplier relationships and critical projects
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with rapidly evolving priorities and world-class execution speed
  • This position is based in Austin, TX and requires being onsite

ITAR REQUIREMENTS:

  • To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
