Who We Are:

Nuro believes self-driving vehicles are the most immediate and profound opportunity for AI to drive positive change in the physical world. Safer streets, more time for what matters, and easier access to the world around us, that’s why we’re building a universal autonomy platform: self-driving for all roads and all rides.
Founded in 2016, Nuro is a physical AI company developing Level 4 autonomous driving technology for a wide range of vehicles, use cases, and markets. Powered by the Nuro Driver™, our universal autonomy platform enables the global mobility ecosystem to deploy autonomy at scale, from robotaxis and logistics fleets to personal vehicles.
With years of real-world deployment experience and a flexible, partner-led business model, Nuro is working toward a future where millions of autonomous vehicles powered by our technology help make everyday life safer, easier, and more connected.
Nuro has raised over $2B in capital from Uber, NVIDIA, Google, Softbank, Fidelity, T. Rowe Price, and other leading investors.

About the team:

Nuro's Global Supply Chain team plays a critical role in scaling the hardware and software systems that power our autonomous vehicles. We own sourcing and supplier strategy for the company's most essential systems—from vehicle platforms and compute to autonomous driving components—and ensure Nuro is positioned to move fast, deliver at scale, and manage risk across our supplier ecosystem.

About the role:

We are hiring a Global Supply Chain Specialist to support supply chain strategy, supplier execution, and key vendor relationships across several of Nuro's highest-priority categories—including vehicle platform components, next-gen compute systems, strategic software/IT, and autonomy-enabling technologies. This individual will contribute to commercial and operational activities for Nuro's strategic suppliers, with growing ownership over negotiation support, risk identification, and relationship development.

You'll work closely with cross-functional partners across engineering, hardware, operations, legal, IT, and finance to help ensure Nuro's supply chain programs are delivered on time, at cost, and with quality. You bring strong analytical instincts, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to engage directly with suppliers to support fast iteration and scalable outcomes.

About the work:

  • Support and participate in supplier engagements across Nuro's most critical categories—contributing to contract execution, commercial discussions, escalations, and performance tracking.
  • Interface with current and prospective partners for Nuro Driver.
  • Assist with strategic sourcing and execution for vehicle systems, vehicle compute, autonomy hardware/software supply chains, as well as enterprise software and IT infrastructure.
  • Support negotiation of commercial terms under the guidance of senior team members, developing skills in deal structuring across complex, fast-moving programs.
  • Monitor vendor performance across cost, delivery, and quality; help identify root-cause supplier issues and assist in driving corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to support new designs entering production, address material availability challenges, and contribute to build readiness across product development phases.
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving supplier quality, mitigating risk, and reducing total cost of ownership across managed categories, including indirect spend.
  • Apply data, market research, and should-cost analysis to support sourcing decisions and inform internal stakeholders.
  • Work alongside engineering, legal, and operations teams to execute supply strategies that support Nuro's near- and long-term goals.

About you:

  • 4–8 years of experience in supply chain management, strategic sourcing, or supplier development, ideally in hardware-focused environments (e.g., automotive, consumer electronics, robotics).
  • Exposure to or experience supporting supplier negotiations and commercial agreements, with a desire to grow into greater ownership over time.
  • Track record of contributing to supplier relationships and cross-functional programs across multiple teams and timelines.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes for components such as compute systems, precision machined parts, enclosures, wiring, sensors, or autonomous systems; exposure to commercial models for enterprise software, cloud, or IT services is a plus.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments where technical requirements evolve quickly.
  • Collaborative and communicative—you work well across teams, ask the right questions, and follow through without needing heavy direction.
  • Detail-oriented and analytically driven, with a commitment to data-informed decision-making.
  • Willing and excited to travel domestically and internationally to support supplier relationships and program execution.
