Senior Manager, Global Supply Chain & Procurement - Individual Contributor role

Lead global strategic sourcing and category management for high-value CapEx items (HVAC, power, IT hardware). Own supplier selection, RFPs, contract negotiations, inventory and open-to-buy management, vendor performance/QBRs, and global logistics/compliance to ensure supply resilience, cost optimization, and timely delivery.

There is massive demand for high-end Data Centers that can meet the demands that come with AI and Machine Learning requirements. Our end-to-end construction platform, modular architecture, is repeatable from 1-2MW’s meeting the needs of even larger data center sites. About the Role
We are looking for a strategic operator to join the ECL team for end-to-end supply chain for our critical infrastructure. In this role, you will own the commercial relationships with our most strategic manufacturing partners—from major HVAC and power vendors to chip manufacturers. You will move beyond simple purchasing to drive Category Management, ensuring supply resilience, cost optimization, and speed-to-market for our growing global footprint.

- 1. Strategic Sourcing & Category Management:
- Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for high-value CapEx categories (e.g., Chillers, CDUs, Generators, Switchgear, and IT Hardware).
- Identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers to diversify the supply base and mitigate single-source risks.
- Lead Request for Proposals (RFPs) and complex contract negotiations, focusing on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), warranty terms, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- 2. Supply Planning & Inventory Control:
- Collaborate with Engineering and Capacity Planning teams to translate technical roadmaps into accurate material forecasts.
- Manage "Open-to-Buy" budgets and optimize inventory levels to balance working capital against the risk of stockouts during critical build phases.

- 3. Vendor Performance & Relationship Management:
- conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers to drive continuous improvement in quality, lead time, and innovation.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for supply disruptions, utilizing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
- 4. Logistics & Compliance:
- Oversee complex global logistics, ensuring the safe and compliant transport of heavy infrastructure equipment across international borders (managing Incoterms, customs, and duties).
- Ensure all vendors adhere to [Company Name]’s sustainability and ethical sourcing standards.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in a technical environment (Data Centers, Construction, Manufacturing, or Hardware).
- Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of negotiating multi-million dollar contracts with favorable terms.
- Analytical Skills: proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups) and experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI) to drive decision-making.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or MBA.
- Certifications: CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP (Ariba/S4HANA), Oracle, or Coupa.
- Technical familiarity with mechanical or electrical infrastructure (ability to read basic specs and understand BOMs).
