Thank you for considering Progyny!

We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Group Vice President (GVP) to lead our National Market Client Success portfolio, overseeing our largest and most strategic clients—those with over 8,000 lives, including our Jumbo, Tier 1, and Tier 2 segments. This sizeable nature of this portfolio makes this role critical to the health and growth of the business.

The GVP will lead a team of approximately 20 client success professionals (including 5 direct reports) and serve as executive sponsor across multiple accounts. This leader will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the National Market team, ensuring excellence in client experience, driving renewals and upsell opportunities, and positioning our solutions as indispensable to our clients in a competitive and evolving industry.

What you’ll do…

  • Strategic Leadership: Set the vision and direction for the National Market Client Success team, ensuring strategies align with overall company objectives and revenue goals.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of ~20, including 5 direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.

  • Client Sponsorship: Act as executive sponsor for multiple large accounts, strengthening C-level relationships, influencing client strategies, and ensuring successful renewals and expansions.

  • Revenue Growth: Partner with Sales, Product, and Operations to identify and execute upsell and cross-sell opportunities, maximizing client lifetime value.

  • Operational Excellence: Establish scalable processes and best practices to manage a large, complex book of business efficiently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

  • Market Insight: Stay ahead of market trends and competitive dynamics, shaping strategies that position the company as the partner of choice for enterprise clients.

  • Risk Management: Anticipate risks in client relationships and market shifts, proactively driving solutions that safeguard and expand business.

About you…

  • Proven experience (15+ years) in client-facing leadership roles, ideally within healthcare technology, benefits, or adjacent industries

  • Demonstrated success leading large client portfolios that drive the majority of company revenue.

  • Track record of building and leading high-performing teams in complex, growth-oriented organizations.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage confidently at the C-suite level and influence client decision-making.

  • Deep understanding of enterprise client needs, with the ability to drive strategic account management and renewal/upsell strategies

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to roll up sleeves, operate at both the strategic and tactical levels, and thrive in an evolving environment.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Please note: This is not a digital nomad or remote international position; candidates must be based in the United States. Progyny is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in United States without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future.
