Why Mintlify?

We're on a mission to empower builders.

  • Massive reach: Our docs platform serves 70 million+ developers every year and powers documentation for 8,000+ companies, including Anthropic, Cursor, Windsurf, Scale AI, X, and over 20 % of the last YC batch.

  • Small team, huge impact: We’re only 20 people today, backed by $18.5 million in funding, each new hire shapes the company’s trajectory.

  • Culture of slope over y-intercept: We value learning velocity, grit, and unapologetically unique personalities.

We grew in value faster than headcount and we’re looking to align the two in the coming year.

What You’ll Do

Own the GTM engine that powers Mintlify’s acquisition curve. You’ll combine engineering and experimentation to uncover compounding opportunities across product, marketing, and sales—and ship the code to make it real.

  • Build the systems that scale demand. Develop small tools, landing pages, internal automations, and infrastructure that directly increase signups, demos, and qualified leads.

  • Instrument analytics end-to-end. Set up and maintain product analytics across our stack, ensuring key events are tracked, accurate, and mapped to our business funnel.

  • Obsess over charts. Monitor our dashboards daily, surface anomalies, and identify patterns that drive decisions across acquisition, activation, referral, and retention.

  • Launch experiments, fast. Design and ship experiments across product, marketing, and outbound. Measure rigorously and iterate quickly.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally. Work closely with marketing, sales, and product to uncover opportunities and execute on them with code.

  • Treat growth like engineering. Build scalable systems for testing, analysis, and automation that increase our capacity to learn and grow faster.

What you’ll bring
  • Fluency in full-stack development. You’ve shipped production code, whether in side projects or in a startup environment, and can work across frontend, backend, and tools.

  • Deep comfort with data. You know how to track, query, build dashboards, and interpret data across the funnel, from website traffic to product activation to sales pipeline.

  • Analytical pattern recognition. You’re naturally drawn to charts and funnels, and you’re the first to notice when something breaks or trends in a new direction.

  • Bias for experimentation. You prefer to test in the real world, not debate hypotheticals. You’re energized by high-tempo iteration and learning from failures.

  • Go-to-market curiosity. You’re excited to understand how sales, marketing, and product work together; you want to grow the business.

Nice-to-haves:
  • Experience in PLG environments

  • Developer tooling, show us the one’s you’ve worked on

  • Shipping projects that reached real users, tell us about them

  • Terminally on tech twitter, if it’s happening on the internet you’re aware of it

Sound like your kind of challenge? Apply now and help us build the GTM engine that empowers builders world-wide.

Company Benefits:

Competitive compensation and equity | Flexible work culture

20 days paid time off every year | Health, dental, vision

401k or RRSP | Free lunch and dinners

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
