About the company

Braintrust is the agent observability platform. By actively applying intelligence to agent traces and automatically surfacing the most critical patterns, Braintrust gives teams the visibility to understand how agents behave in production and the tools to improve them.
Teams at Notion, Stripe, Box, OpenAI, and Cloudflare use Braintrust to trace their agents, find the issues in their observability data, and run evals that tell them how to improve.

About the role

We’re looking for a growth marketer who loves running experiments and building compounding systems. Our audience is engineers and technical leaders of enterprises and fast-growing companies. They find tools through newer channels like AI assistants and coding agents they use every day, and some more traditional ones like social, search, and docs/content. They also appreciate marketing that meets them where they are and speaks their language. Marketing to them shouldn’t feel forced, so technical credibility is critical.

In this role, you will:

  • Experimentation: Run experiments to test hypotheses you or the team may have and scale your ideas based on metrics.

  • Conversion rate optimization: Audit and find areas along the user journey from first web page visit to sign-up that can lead to more incremental user sign-ups or form fills.

  • Data: Use our data warehouse to build audiences and automate triggers across channels based on user actions and segmentation.

  • AEO and agent-led growth: Use modern growth tactics to help Braintrust become the default solution recommended by AI and coding agents.

  • Paid ads: Create and execute strategies against various ad channels to grow awareness about Braintrust and push target accounts through the funnel. Own and manage the paid budget, allocating spend across channels based on performance.

  • Self-serve lifecycle marketing: Work with Product Growth to help self-serve users reach critical parts of their Braintrust journey, including activation and upgrading to a paid plan.

  • Reporting: Build weekly reporting for execs and your team to help hit quarterly targets.

  • Forecasting: Work with the Head of Growth to forecast self-serve lead numbers on a monthly basis and work backwards from goals to inform plans.

Ideal candidate credentials
  • 5+ years in a growth role for a technical or developer-focused B2B product.

  • Comfortable with data and can write SQL without requiring help from others.

  • Understands incrementality, holdout tests, matched market tests, and ROAS and how they apply to paid marketing.

  • Has owned and managed performance marketing budgets, and can speak to the size of those budgets and the results they drove.

  • Has a deep understanding of at least 1–2 channels and can show extreme fluency.

  • Can utilize AI tools to make themselves more efficient but understands where AI use may not be appropriate.

  • Able to drive a roadmap and knows how to execute against it.

  • Knows how to pick the most important bets across available levers and ruthlessly prioritizes their time to move the business forward.

  • Builds systems that compound over time rather than in isolation, and thinks about how what they build today will extend to help the business grow in the future.

  • Has thrived in environments where things are sometimes loosely defined and may have competing priorities or deadlines.

Benefits include
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance

  • Daily lunch, snacks, and beverages

  • Flexible time off

  • Competitive salary and equity

  • Wifi & cellphone stipend

Equal opportunity
