About Faire

Faire is a technology wholesale platform built on the belief that the future is local. Independent retailers around the globe collectively represent a multi-hundred-billion-dollar wholesale market that has historically been fragmented and offline. At Faire, we're using the power of tech, data, and machine learning to connect this thriving community of entrepreneurs across the globe. Picture your favorite boutique in town — we help them discover the best products from around the world to sell in their stores. With the right tools and insights, we believe that we can level the playing field so businesses can grow and local communities can thrive.

We’re looking for smart, resourceful and passionate people to join us as we power the shop local movement. If you believe in community, come join ours.

About this role

Marketing Analytics spans the full early retailer journey at Faire — from paid marketing and channel strategy at the top of the funnel, through in-product activation, to long-term retention. We find and prioritize the biggest opportunities to grow and retain retailers on the platform, partnering closely with Marketing, Product, Data Science, Finance and Engineering.

We have two lead roles open on the team: one focused on top-of-funnel acquisition and paid marketing, and one focused on in-product early lifecycle experience and retention levers. Both roles call for the same underlying persona: someone who pairs analytical rigor with strategic intuition and wants to use that superpower to drive business impact in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do

  • Break down complex and ambiguous strategic problems to uncover actionable insights
  • Lead large cross-functional strategic growth initiatives that move company metrics in partnership with Marketing, Product, GTM, and Finance
  • Identify opportunities, develop hypotheses, execute in-depth analyses and make recommendations to Faire’s leadership team based on your findings
  • Own the most important metrics for our Growth organization by having deep intuition on how they are trending and surfacing the most salient strategic insights to drive them
  • Provide thought partnership to Marketing, Product and Finance leadership to ensure the organization is using data thoughtfully and correctly
  • Develop effective and scalable operational processes and fill operational gaps
  • Support bi-annual and long term forecasting for the business units you own
  • Level up the Strategy & Analytics team through new and improved processes, training, coaching and more

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in an analytical and strategic role across growth, analytics, consulting, business operations, or finance
  • Experience designing or leading experimentation to drive business decisions forward
  • You are a strategic problem solver. You can break down ambiguous problems and apply a first principles approach to solving them.
  • You are highly analytical and metrics-focused. You can execute on complex analyses, define KPIs, size opportunity areas, and measure and report on performance across the business
  • You are a strong communicator. You can crisply communicate actionable data-driven insights to all audiences.
  • You have strong product and business intuition. You contextualize how insights fit into broader business goals and have a strong understanding of product and business metrics.
  • You have a solid analytical foundation. You can use SQL or excel to analyze large datasets and have strong analytical rigor.
  • You are scrappy and resourceful. When something needs to get done, you always find a way to make it happen.
  • You are an extraordinarily fast learner. You have the natural curiosity and intellectual horsepower to deeply understand new topics and pick up new skills in a very short time.

Salary Range

San Francisco or New York City: the pay range for this role is $157,500-$216,500 per year.

This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Hybrid Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year. Specific Workplace and Information Technology positions may require onsite attendance 5 days per week as will be indicated in the job posting.
