LeanData helps the world’s fastest-growing companies automate, simplify, and accelerate revenue.

We are seeking a GTM Engineer (Data & AI) to be the lead architect of our autonomous revenue engine. This is a critical role focused on building the Data and Context layers that serve as the "brain" for our AI strategy. We aren't just looking for someone to manage tools, we want a builder who can accelerate our agentic GTM automation, where workflows don't just follow rules, but reason through signals to power the entire customer journey.

You will be empowered to use your technical depth to design, test, and scale a system that eliminates manual friction and turns the funnel into a high-velocity machine. This is a highly cross-functional role where you will work directly with GTM VPs to define their growth strategies.

Reporting into the Head of Revenue Operations, you will have a seat at the table with the C-suite to help define the future of RevOps in the GTM tech industry.

This is a remote opportunity.

What you will be doing:

  • Architect the GTM Intelligence Foundation. Design and manage a unified data layer that merges structured (DataLake/APIs/MCPs) and unstructured signals (Calls/Emails/Chats) for agentic reasoning and consumption

  • Engineer Agentic Workflows. Build autonomous systems that sit in the execution path of the funnel, blending probabilistic AI reasoning with deterministic logic to automate complex decisions across Marketing, Sales, and CX

  • Lead our predictive modeling efforts. Own the logic and technical setup for scoring and propensity models ensuring they are integrated into the agentic orchestration layer

  • Prototype and Scale GTM Innovation. Rapidly build and test new AI-native concepts and turn the successful ones into standard operating procedure

Requirements:

  • Engineering-First Mindset. 5+ years in GTM Systems, RevOps, or Data Engineering with a focus on technical workflows. A technical degree or equivalent background is preferred

  • Context Orchestrator. You have built complex data flows across Data Warehouses, APIs, and MCP servers and have hands-on experience building the context layers for AI judgment

  • Track record of shipping GTM logic, like scoring, routing, and lifecycle automation, that measurably moved the needle on pipeline or retention.

  • Hands-on experience with modern orchestration platforms and understand how to orchestrate LLMs, enrichment waterfalls, and agentic workflows.

  • Possess a structured approach to problem-solving and a natural instinct to simplify and automate manual processes rather than adding complexity

Why work at LeanData:

  • LeanData covers employee insurance premiums up to 90%

  • Stock options in LeanData for all full-time employees

  • Flexible PTO

  • 401K plan

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Sequoia Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Bessemer Venture Partners, Greylock Partners, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins
  • Research Centers and Universities: Stanford University; University of California, Berkeley; University of San Francisco; Santa Clara University; Ames Research Center; Center for AI Safety; California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
