About us

Parallel is a web infrastructure company. Our products are used by leading businesses in sales, marketing, insurance, and coding to build best-in-class AI agents with flexible and powerful programmatic access to the web.

We've raised $230 million from Kleiner Perkins, Sequoia, Index Ventures, Spark Capital, Khosla Ventures, First Round, and Terrain to build the web for AIs. We're currently valued at $2 billion and we're forming a world-class team of engineers, designers, marketers, sellers, researchers, and operational experts to achieve our mission.

Job: You will own GTM finance at Parallel. You’ll partner directly with revenue leadership on hiring plans, quota and capacity models, compensation plans, and spend. You’ll turn pipeline, attainment, and unit economics into recommendations that change decisions. You’ll build the operating plan and bookings forecast for the revenue org and hold it accountable to them. You’ll bring a financial lens to pricing and packaging across usage-based and committed-spend models, and you’ll set the margin targets and discount policy that the deal desk enforces. You’ll work with the finance lead on company planning and board reporting so the GTM numbers and the company numbers tell the same story. As the function grows, you’ll build the team behind it.

You: You’ve owned GTM or strategic finance at a high-growth startup. You’ve set quotas, built capacity models, and audited commission plans alongside sales leaders who trusted your numbers. You came up through a high-rigor environment like banking, consulting, or PE, and since then you’ve worked where the data is messy and the process doesn’t exist yet. You understand consumption revenue well enough to forecast it and to explain why it moved. You’ve told a sales leader their plan didn’t pencil out, and you showed them one that did. You use AI tools to do real work, and you’d rather build the function than inherit it.

What you need to know about the San Francisco Tech Scene

San Francisco and the surrounding Bay Area attracts more startup funding than any other region in the world. Home to Stanford University and UC Berkeley, leading VC firms and several of the world’s most valuable companies, the Bay Area is the place to go for anyone looking to make it big in the tech industry. That said, San Francisco has a lot to offer beyond technology thanks to a thriving art and music scene, excellent food and a short drive to several of the country’s most beautiful recreational areas.

Key Facts About San Francisco Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 365,500; 13.9% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Google, Apple, Salesforce, Meta
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, fintech, consumer technology, software
  • Funding Landscape: $50.5 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
