Tarana is a fast revenue growth company built by outstanding talented people and with innovative technology.  Our hardware development team is looking for a smart, experienced, and hardworking member working to test various Hardware systems in different configurations. The ideal candidate would have experience with wireless hardware (5G, WiFi, etc.) testing using such equipment as spectrum analyzers and high-speed oscilloscopes. Experience with Ethernet, DDR4 waveforms and protocols, wireless performance tests are desired. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 1+ years of hardware test.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Define test strategy, detailed test plan/protocol for new Hardware designs or value-added engineering projects.
  • Create a test plan/protocol based on requirements in order to test the specific hardware modules or PCBA.
  • Create test reports/presentations based on results from test execution.
  • Code test programs and run scripts on manufacturing test stations for wireless products.
  • Set up and use test equipment like oscilloscopes, signal generators and spectrum analyzers. 
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot failed units from the field (Conduct failure analysis, and perform Root cause analysis) and factory tests in a lab.
  • Come up with continuous optimizations and tests to improve coverage.
  • Actively provide inputs for HW design for testability and repeatability.
  • Finding alternate parts from different suppliers with exact form, fit and function (perform Like for Like analysis).
  • Alternate Part qualification and testing (functional and performance).


What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field with 1+ years of relevant experience 
  • Hardware test equipment usage (e.g. spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes)
  • Statistical analysis abilities is a plus
  • Ability to code and use scripts in a Linux environment is a plus
  • Knowledge of wireless networks and products
  • Ability to create ECOs, Deviations in Arena BOM management environment

What we offer:

 The salary range for this position is: $90,000 to $120,000

Compensation will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to: skill set, years of experience and the employee’s geographic location.
