About Ramp

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $100B in annualized spend flows in and out of 50,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.

We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.

The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

About the Role

Ramp is building a media brand, not a content calendar.

Customers already know us for our product velocity and the time and money we save them. Now we want to be something more: the voice finance leaders seek out for insight at the intersection of technology and finance.

You'll take the raw ingredients we already have — leading technology, an in-house economist with a daily pulse on markets, an engineering team that builds in public, and a brand unafraid to take risks — and turn them into a system that produces content no other company could make.

The person who thrives here is fast, AI-native, a systems-builder, and has a bit of pirate energy.

In this role you'll manage a small, high-output team while remaining meaningfully hands-on yourself.

What You'll Do
  • Build the system. Design the architecture, workflows, and AI-powered tools that let Ramp produce 10x more content without 10x more people. Other teams plug into your system and ship great work without you being the bottleneck.

  • Set the bar. Define what "unmistakably Ramp" sounds like and enforce it. If it could have been published by any other company, it doesn't ship.

  • Cultivate the voices. Build a network of internal and external contributors who extend Ramp's reach into communities we don't own.

  • Ship, measure, iterate. Ramp ships product weekly. Content should too. Launch fast, learn fast, kill what doesn't work, double down on what does.

What You'll Bring
  • You've built from scratch. You've stood up a content operation where there wasn't one. You know the difference between running a team and building the machine.

  • You've built something people recognize. Whether it's a media brand inside a company, a publication, a newsletter, or your own platform, you've created something with a distinct voice that built an audience. You don't just produce content, you've made something people seek out.

  • You're AI-native. You've used AI to fundamentally change how content gets made. You have a strong opinion on where this is headed and you're already building toward it. But you'd never outsource taste to a tool.

  • You move fast and take risks. You'd rather ship something imperfect today than something polished next week. You're comfortable being wrong in public if it leads to something great.

  • You understand finance or learn fast. Ideally you've worked in fintech or sold to finance teams. If not, you go deep on new domains quickly.

Fair Warning
  • This role is not for someone who prefers an established playbook. It’s a true builder role.

  • It's not for someone who needs to be methodical before being experimental. We experiment first and systematize what works.

  • It's not for someone who finds comfort in a predictable pace. The pace here is genuinely uncomfortable. The right person finds that fun.

  • And if AI is something you've been meaning to get around to, we're not the place to figure it out. You should be experimenting and building already.
