About This Role

We are looking for an experienced and versatile leader to lead Finance Systems & Data at Faire. The right candidate will combine deep technical fluency across finance systems with a track record of driving modernization and AI adoption in finance contexts. You will be central to how Faire plans, reports, and operates the business — and to ensuring we are fully prepared to run with public-company rigor.

You will work directly with the CFO and finance leadership team to:

  • Architect and execute a public-company-ready finance systems roadmap
  • Drive AI enablement and modernization across the finance org
  • Develop and scale a high-performing team across systems and data

What you'll do:

  • Own the Finance Systems Architecture and Roadmap. Develop a clear, multi-quarter/year roadmap for Faire's finance tech stack (NetSuite, order-to-cash. expense, procurement, payroll, equity, reporting, planning). Drive prioritization decisions and ensure systems environment meets public co standards.
  • Drive AI Enablement Across the Finance Org from close automation to reporting to operational workflows. Evaluate, pilot, and operationalize AI capabilities.
  • Oversee the Finance Data Function, ensuring data integrity and reconciliation across operational and financial metrics.
  • Manage Cross-Functional Partnership and Vendors. Partner with Eng / Data Platform on shared infrastructure. Serve as a trusted partner across Finance, Accounting, Eng/Data Platform, IT, and Legal. Lead vendor selection, contract negotiation, and renewal management.
  • Manage and Develop the Team of 5+ Actively develop/coach and ensure high bar for talent and performance.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in Finance Systems or Business Systems — with progressive leadership scope
  • Player-coach orientation — operates fluidly as PM, architect, and coach. Technically credible enough to dive into complex problems alongside the team and unblock the roadmap.
  • Deep technical expertise with NetSuite and the broader finance SaaS portfolio
  • Demonstrated track record of driving AI / automation projects end-to-end in a finance or business systems context
  • Direct experience preparing for or operating in a public-company environment
  • Experience hiring and managing technical talent
  • Marketplace / transactional / fintech experience strongly preferred

Salary Range

San Francisco: the pay range for this role is $236,000 to $324,500 per year. 

This role will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands, and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Hybrid Faire employees currently go into the office 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a third flex day of their choosing (Monday, Wednesday, or Friday). Additionally, hybrid in-office roles will have the flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year. Specific Workplace and Information Technology positions may require onsite attendance 5 days per week as will be indicated in the job posting.
