What You Will Be Doing

ChargePoint is looking for a visionary Head of Global Total Rewards to lead and scale our global compensation, equity, benefits, and rewards programs. This strategic leader will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving total rewards strategies that attract, retain, and engage top talent in a competitive global market, while ensuring alignment with ChargePoint’s values and business goals.

The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of global compensation structures, equity programs, wellness strategies, and benefits administration particularly across North America, EMEA, and APAC regions.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

Compensation:

  • Develop and drive a comprehensive, forward-looking Global Total Rewards strategy aligned with ChargePoint’s Business objectives and People strategy across all countries where ChargePoint operates
  • Serve as a key thought partner to the VP, People and executive leadership team on compensation and benefits-related matters, including board-level communications
  • Work closely with the Executive Compensation Consultants and VP, People for Compensation Committee meetings
  • Oversee executive and broad-based compensation programs including salary structures, job architecture, salary bands and job levelling, and equity compensation
  • Support the annual compensation cycle and budgeting, including merit and equity planning
  • Ensure competitive market positioning using data-driven analysis, benchmarking, and industry trends

Benefits & Wellbeing:

  • Lead the development of ChargePoint’s benefits and wellness strategy, ensuring offerings are innovative, cost-effective, inclusive, compliant and aligned with employee needs
  • Oversee vendors and third-party providers to ensure optimal service delivery, compliance, and cost control
  • Oversee U.S. and international benefits renewals, vendor management, and RFP processes

Global Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure all rewards programs are compliant with local regulations and governance best practices in each market
  • Partner with internal stakeholders (Legal, Finance, Payroll, HR Ops) to align processes and ensure audit readiness and transparency

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing, diverse Total Rewards team
  • Develop functional expertise across regions and foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence
Requirements
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, and total rewards, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience managing global programs across North America, EMEA, and APAC regions in both public and high-growth company environments
  • Expertise in compensation frameworks, market benchmarking, equity stock administration, and benefits design
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, and executive presentation skills; able to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Proven experience leading public company compensation, including equity programs and proxy/CD&A development
  • Strong financial acumen and comfort with modeling, analytics, and cost forecasting
  • Demonstrated success leading global benefits strategy and implementing wellness initiatives
  • Bachelor's degree required; master's or relevant certifications preferred
  • Strong background in regulatory compliance (SEC, proxy, equity reporting, GDPR, etc.), compensation surveys, and program audits

Location

Campbell, CA

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $147,500 to $265,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
