As part of this evolution, the Head of HR Business Partners, Technology Talent will play a critical leadership role in shaping the people strategy for some of Agilent’s most important enterprise priorities, including technology, digital, artificial intelligence, enterprise transformation, and product software.

Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer and serving as a key member of the HR Leadership Team, this leader will partner directly with Agilent’s senior technology and transformation leaders, including the Enterprise Transformation Office, Chief Technology Officer, Chief AI Officer, Chief Information Officer, and leaders responsible for Agilent’s product software initiatives. This role will advise C-suite leaders, contribute to enterprise and functional strategy, and translate Agilent’s technology, AI, digital, and transformation priorities into integrated workforce and talent strategies that enable business performance, innovation, scale, and long-term organizational capability.

This is a truly transformational role. The Head of HR Business Partners, Technology Talent will help shape how Agilent builds the leadership, skills, organization structures, and ways of working required for the future. This leader will play a central role in the people dimensions of Agilent’s AI transformation, workforce planning, technology modernization, digital enablement, and product software evolution. The role requires a strategic HR leader who can operate at the intersection of business strategy, technology, talent, organizational design, and enterprise change.

This leader will support Agilent’s three business groups:

  • Enterprise Transformation Office: partnering on the people, organization, leadership, and capability dimensions of Agilent’s enterprise transformation agenda, including operating model evolution, cross-functional execution, and enterprise-wide ways of working.
  • Chief Technology Officer organization: supporting the enterprise technology and R&D agenda, including the organizational capabilities required to strengthen innovation, connect technology priorities across business groups, and accelerate Agilent’s ability to bring differentiated solutions to customers.
  • Chief AI Officer organization: enabling Agilent’s enterprise AI strategy by shaping workforce plans, AI capability-building, organizational adoption, responsible scaling, and the talent agenda required to embed AI into core value chains and business processes.
  • Chief Information Officer organization: supporting IT strategy, enterprise platform modernization, digital infrastructure, data and analytics enablement, cloud, cybersecurity, ERP, and technology service delivery capabilities.
  • Product Software initiatives: partnering with leaders responsible for software-enabled products, digital customer experiences, informatics, automation, data, and software capabilities that are increasingly central to Agilent’s future growth and customer impact.

The Head of HR Business Partners, Technology Talent will lead through Senior HR Business Partners and HR Business Partners, ensuring the HRBP team delivers strategic advisory support, strengthens organizational capability, and advances Agilent’s evolving HR operating model. This leader will bring strong business and technology acumen, experience supporting senior enterprise leaders and investment-heavy transformation agendas, and the ability to influence complex decisions in a global, matrixed environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Translate corporate, enterprise, technology, AI, digital, and transformation priorities into one- to three-year workforce and talent plans that balance near-term execution needs with Agilent’s longer-term strategy.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior technology and transformation executives, including leaders across the Enterprise Transformation Office, CTO organization, CAIO organization, CIO organization, and product software initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leaders to understand strategic priorities, investment choices, technology roadmaps, operating model needs, and organizational implications; translate those insights into people strategies that enable innovation, scalability, productivity, and customer impact.
  • Lead the workforce planning agenda for Agilent’s technology and AI transformation, including future skills, critical capabilities, talent gaps, location strategy, build/buy/borrow decisions, leadership pipelines, and organizational readiness.
  • Shape the people strategy for Agilent’s AI transformation by partnering with the Chief AI Officer and enterprise leaders to prepare the workforce for AI adoption, workflow redesign, responsible use, and new capability requirements.
  • Strengthen organizational and leadership capability through strategic workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, executive coaching, leadership development, and capability-building across technology, digital, AI, and transformation teams.
  • Improve executive decision-making by surfacing workforce trends, organizational risks, capability gaps, leadership needs, and talent opportunities; engage senior leaders in candid, constructive dialogue focused on enterprise outcomes.
  • Build and lead a high-performing HRBP team, including Senior HR Business Partners and HR Business Partners; set direction, manage resources and budgets to plan, raise the quality of strategic advisory support, and hold leaders and teams accountable for delivering on commitments.
  • Lead the people dimensions of major, complex transformations, including AI adoption, enterprise technology modernization, ERP and platform evolution, operating-model changes, M&A integration, organizational redesign, and new ways of working.
  • Partners across HR Centers of Excellence, HR Operations, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Legal, Finance, Communications, and business leaders to deliver integrated, scalable talent and organization solutions.
  • Advance Agilent’s HR operating model by seeking better, simpler solutions; recommend and advocate for policy and program changes; and embed AI-enabled capabilities, tiered service delivery, digital tools, analytics, and scalable ways of working.
  • Use workforce analytics, external labor market insights, technology talent trends, and business data to anticipate risks, inform strategic choices, and shape actionable recommendations for senior executives.
  • Help build Agilent’s future-ready workforce by identifying emerging skills, leadership capabilities, organization models, and talent strategies required to compete in an increasingly digital, AI-enabled, and software-driven environment.
