About the Role:

Wing is looking for a Head of HRBP, Commercial to join our People Team team. This role is Remote or Hybrid - Palo Alto, CA. Our People Team is a small, nimble force with outsized impact across the organization. As Wing scales, we serve as a strategic partner for the business—helping build the culture, talent layer, organizational design and dynamic environment where exceptional talent can thrive, innovate, and propel our next chapter of growth.

This role is both highly strategic and deeply operational. You will proactively advise C-suite leaders on organizational design, talent strategy, and the development of high-performing teams.

What You’ll Do: 

Act as an indispensable People Partner for Wing’s Executives who lead our Product, Marketing, Operations, and Regulatory (among other teams).Develop data-based talent strategies for your clients that support the achievement of their immediate and long-term technical and business objectives. Support Executives in building, managing, and scaling high-performing teams, establishing high bars for accountability, management, and execution.Lead organization design initiatives, ensuring your client groups are structured efficiently to support efficient processes, cross-functional collaboration, high performance and team development.Oversee Wing’s cyclical talent processes for your client groups, including compensation reviews, talent calibrations, succession planning, and employee development pathways. 

  • Manage highly sensitive, complex employee relations matters with impeccable discretion, objectivity, and empathy. 
  • Champion Wing’s culture, actively monitoring organization health metrics to design targeted engagement and retention programs.
  • Directly manage and mentor a small team of HRBPs - cultivating operational excellence, elevating strategic capabilities and HR acumen.
  • Spearhead the adoption of AI across our people programs, empowering your team to leverage emerging technologies for greater operational efficiency, data-driven insights, and innovative HR solutions.

What You’ll Need: 

  • 15+ years of progressive strategic HR experience within the technology, consumer or logistics industries
  • Bachelor's degree in directly related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated success supporting, challenging, and influencing Senior Director and VP-level leaders on macro-level talent strategies. 
  • Hands-on experience leading workforce planning, and organizational redesigns. 
  • Strong sense of judgement and extensive background managing high-risk employee relations cases, investigations, and performance management frameworks.
  • Prior formal management experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment where you had to operate at a strategic altitude while also rolling up your sleeves to execute critical HR programs.
  • Flawless written and verbal communication style that commands trust, builds rapid alignment, and de-escalates organizational friction.
  • Analytical mindset - can identify, collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data in order to conduct root cause analyses, identify insights that are driving (or preventing) performance / achievement of goals and build actionable, achievable action plans.
