Where and How We Work
How we’ll help you thrive
As Head of Operations Engineering at Linktree, you’ll shape how the company works and scales. You’ll combine operational expertise, technology and change management to help teams move faster, make better decisions and deliver more consistent outcomes.
Your remit will span everything from transforming a team’s daily workflows to rethinking how the business plans, collaborates and executes. You’ll identify where work gets stuck, where automation can free up people’s time and where better systems can open up new possibilities. You’ll have the scope to uncover opportunities, build support across the business and take improvements from an idea through to lasting change.
You’ll lead a small engineering team and own the internal platform and mission-critical tools that turn those opportunities into working solutions. Just as importantly, you’ll help teams build the skills and confidence to improve their own ways of working, making AI and automation part of everyday operations.
This is an opportunity to make improvements that reach across Linktree: turning a successful change in one team into something the whole business can benefit from. You’ll stay close to the work, partner with people across functions and see your impact in what teams can achieve.
- Find and prioritise opportunities. Work with teams to understand their goals and bottlenecks, and build a pipeline of improvements balanced across quick wins and larger bets — prioritised on impact, effort and risk.
- Redesign how work gets done. Partner with business leaders and process owners to improve workflows, clarify ownership and fix handovers, within and across teams.
- Deliver change end to end. Take initiatives from problem definition and business case through implementation, training and rollout — staying involved until new ways of working stick.
- Own our internal tooling platform. Set its direction and roadmap, build reusable capabilities, and make sound build/buy/integrate/retire calls. Own reliability, security, maintainability and cost.
- Run mission-critical systems. Keep the tooling teams like Customer Support depend on daily healthy and improving as their needs change.
- Help teams level up. Champion practical uses of AI and automation through coaching, training and reusable examples, with clear guidance on data handling and human oversight.
- Lead and measure. Develop your engineers and connect their work to operational priorities. Track turnaround time, manual effort, quality and adoption — and use the results to guide what’s next.
- A track record in operational excellence. Experience improving how teams and businesses operate, with measurable gains in efficiency, speed and quality. You understand how people, processes and systems work together.
- Business process improvement experience. You can map workflows, identify bottlenecks and root causes, and prioritise opportunities based on business impact. You’ve redesigned processes within individual teams and across functions.
- Stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership. You work with business leaders and process owners to understand their needs, agree outcomes and develop solutions that combine process changes with technology. You build support, resolve competing priorities and establish clear ownership.
- Proven change management experience. You’ve led changes from initial engagement through communication, training, rollout and sustained adoption. You anticipate barriers, address resistance and help teams embed new ways of working.
- End-to-end delivery and continuous improvement. You take opportunities from discovery and business case through implementation and ongoing improvement. You define success, measure results and use feedback to refine the solution.
- Practical technology judgement. You understand how internal tools, integrations, automation and AI can improve operations. You can translate business needs into technical requirements and make informed decisions about what to build, buy or integrate.
- Hands-on leadership and coaching. You can lead a small engineering team, work closely with implementation and help colleagues across the business develop the skills to improve their own processes and tools.
