About the company
Our client is a fast-growing technology company.
The role
Raydar is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client. Serve as the first operations hire, partnering directly with the founder and taking over the administrative and business-facing work that keeps a young company moving. This hands-on generalist role suits someone who builds processes from scratch and works independently with little direction.
What you'll do
- Own the company's back-office foundation, including facilities, people operations, financial administration and regulatory and legal coordination.
- Build and maintain candidate pipelines and support hiring as the team grows.
- Write customer-facing collateral by learning the offering and its uses independently.
- Help prepare materials for capital-raising efforts, such as presentations and document repositories.
- Design internal systems and processes from the ground up to prepare for the next stage of growth.
- Act as a dependable generalist so the founder can concentrate on high-priority decisions.
Requirements
What we're looking for
- 2 to 5 years in an operations, business operations or closely related role at a startup.
- Exposure to how a later-stage startup runs, including strong internal systems and processes.
- Highly reliable, careful and trustworthy, with an ownership mindset.
- Clear communication with vendors, candidates, customers and internal stakeholders.
- Comfort moving between foundational operational tasks and business-facing work in the same week.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and make progress without a detailed playbook.
Bonus points
- Prior experience in finance, advisory or investing roles and a desire to build at a startup.
- MBA with a record of execution.
- Sales or product background with demonstrated operational range.
- Competitive or athletic background showing drive in a fast-moving environment.
