Who We Are

Hyperbolic Labs is on a mission to democratize AI by breaking down the barriers to computing power with our Open-Access AI Cloud. By aggregating computing resources across the globe, we offer an innovative GPU marketplace and AI inference service that promise affordability and accessibility for all. As pioneers at the intersection of AI and open-source technology, we believe in an open future where AI innovation is limited only by imagination, not by access to resources. We're looking for forward-thinking individuals who share our passion for making AI universally accessible, secure, and affordable. Join us in building a platform that empowers innovators everywhere to turn their visionary AI projects into reality.

As we prepare for growth after our Series A, our team — led by co-founders with PhDs in AI, Math, and Computer Science — is poised to redefine computing.

About the Role

We’re seeking a Head of Talent to build and scale Hyperbolic’s recruiting function as we grow our team and expand our platform. As an early-stage company operating at the intersection of AI infrastructure and distributed compute, our ability to attract and hire exceptional talent is critical to our success. You’ll partner closely with founders and leadership to define hiring strategy, prioritize roles, and build a high-performing, scalable hiring engine.

In this role, you’ll establish and own end-to-end recruiting processes, define structured interview frameworks, and implement systems that enable efficient, high-quality hiring across technical and business functions. You’ll personally lead searches for critical roles, particularly in engineering and infrastructure, while developing creative sourcing strategies for highly competitive talent markets. You’ll also define and track recruiting metrics, build reporting systems that provide visibility into pipeline health and hiring performance, and continuously optimize funnel efficiency and candidate experience.

This is a high-impact position where your work directly influences the trajectory of the company by shaping the team we build. You’ll play a key role in establishing Hyperbolic as a top destination for technical talent, while creating the foundation and systems needed to support rapid, scalable growth.

Who You Are

  • Experienced recruiting leader with 7+ years of experience, including 2–3+ years owning or leading a recruiting function

  • Proven track record as an early or first recruiter, building hiring processes and systems from the ground up

  • Strong experience hiring highly technical talent, including software engineers, infrastructure, and AI/ML roles

  • Experience recruiting across both technical and business functions in high-growth environments

  • Deep understanding of recruiting metrics, pipeline management, and how to use data to drive hiring outcomes

  • Ability to translate company goals into structured hiring plans and clear recruiting priorities

  • Strong sourcing and closing capabilities, with experience engaging and closing senior-level candidates

  • Experience designing structured interview processes, calibration frameworks, and scalable hiring practices

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity with a hands-on, execution-focused approach

  • Strong cross-functional partner with the ability to influence leadership and hiring decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cloud infrastructure, AI/ML, or developer tools companies

  • Background in venture-backed or high-growth startups scaling from early-stage to growth-stage

  • Experience building employer brand and talent positioning in competitive technical markets

  • Familiarity with Greenhouse, LinkedIn, and sourcing systems, with a focus on optimizing usage and performance

  • Experience building and managing recruiting teams as companies scale

  • Track record of hiring in highly competitive or niche technical talent markets

Hyperbolic is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
