SUMMARY
The Houseperson ("El/la Asistente de Recamarero/a") ensures the Room Attendants' ability to provide service that meets or exceeds our guests' expectations by efficiently executing their duties and responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Maintains all public areas impeccably clean by adhering to our department's high standards of cleanliness.
  • Ensures Room Attendants have supplies and equipment necessary to perform their job.
  • Prepares the linen for shipping and receiving and is responsible for its distribution.
  • Maintains property linen rooms and Room Attendants' carts well-stocked and orderly.
  • Collects soiled linen from checkout rooms when instructed by Supervisor.
  • Performs window cleaning of guestrooms adhering to productivity standards.
  • Works in accordance with set safety standards and practices.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • At least 3-12 months of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Previous similar position in a hotel, or similar business entity preferred.
  • Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.
  • Availability to work on weekends and holidays is required.
  • Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, team-oriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. seq.
