GENERAL SUMMARY:

The HR Coordinator will perform administrative tasks and provide efficient and effective support to the Human Resources department in managing employee data, including assisting the recruiting and training department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitors HR emails by responding and/or directing emails to appropriate team members.
  • Assists the training manager with administrative tasks, including helping in the field at times.
  • Supports the HR department by assisting with department events.
  • Monitors and audits “The Hub Store” website. 
  • Manages anniversary swag orders and certificates for employees 5 years and up.
  • Assists with auditing NetSuite employee information.
  • Assists with Employment Verifications.
  • Ensures compliance with all Goodwill Industries Sacramento Valley Northern Nevada policies, CARF standards, and safety and security regulations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of HR experience preferred, with increasing responsibility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, and Excel.
  • Experience managing filing for HR department.
  • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality in the workplace.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees.
  • Team oriented player.
  •  Exceptional communication and time management skills.
  • Must not present a direct threat to the safety and health of self, others or property.
  • No record or disclosure of criminal conviction that indicates a tendency toward theft, violence, dishonesty, deceit, drug manufacture or sale, moral turpitude, or predatory behavior. 
  • Must provide proof of identification and eligibility to work in the United States of America. 
  • Must be required to pass a drug and background screening
  • Must be able to perform essential functions of this job description with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Highly organized with strong multi-tasking abilities.
  • Open-minded, positive customer service attitude.
  • Proficient with or has the ability to quickly learn Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and similar computer application/programs.

POSITION INFORMATION:

This position is a full time, non-exempt position eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance; 403(b) retirement plan; Paid Holidays, Vacation and Sick Leave. This position is employed by Goodwill Industries® of Sacramento Valley and Northern Nevada, Inc. 

WORK CONDITIONS/HAZARDS:

  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment
  • High adaptability required. Work environment is usually hectic (fast-paced) with frequent short deadlines and regular instances of critical situations.
