At Rhoda AI, we’re building the next generation of generalist intelligent robots. We own the full robotics stack from high-performance hardware and robot systems to the infrastructure and state-of-the-art foundation world models that control our robots. Our robots are designed to be generalists capable of operating in complex, real-world environments and handling long-tail edge cases, made possible by our cutting edge research and end-to-end system design. We've raised over $400M and are investing aggressively in model research, infrastructure, hardware development, and manufacturing scale-up to make generalist robotics a reality.

We're looking for HR Manager to help build and scale our people operations as we grow. This is a unique opportunity to shape the employee experience at a fast-moving robotics company - hands-on and strategic, with real ownership across the HR function.

What You'll Do

Employee Lifecycle & Operations

  • Own end-to-end onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring every new hire has a smooth, welcoming experience and a fast ramp-up, including leading New Hire Orientation

  • Help coordinate offer letters and employment agreements

  • Maintain HRIS data integrity, manage employee data changes, and identify opportunities to streamline workflows and build scalable people processes

Benefits, Rewards & Wellbeing

  • Administer and continuously improve our employee benefits programs

  • Serve as the go-to resource for benefits questions and lead open enrollment

  • Partner with leadership to develop competitive compensation and rewards frameworks that attract and retain top talent

  • Champion employee wellbeing initiatives and help maintain a healthy, safe work environment

Learning, Development & Performance

  • Design and support performance review cycles that are meaningful, fair, and actionable

  • Identify learning and development opportunities that help employees grow in their roles and careers

  • Partner with managers to build development plans and support career progression across the team

Culture, Engagement & Communication

  • Play an active role in fostering an inclusive, high-performance culture that reflects our values

  • Develop and run employee engagement initiatives, feedback programs, and internal communications

  • Create channels for employee participation and ensure team members feel heard and connected to the company mission

  • Help organize team events, offsites, and culture-building moments as we grow

Immigration & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and internal policies

  • Coordinate visa sponsorships and work authorization processes (H-1B, O-1, J-1 applications/transfers/renewals, green cards) in partnership with TA for pre-hire assessments and immigration counsel, driving and monitoring all processes from day one through employee tenure, including transitions such as F-1 to H-1B and H-1B through the green card process.

  • Navigate multi-state compliance requirements

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of HR experience, ideally in a startup or high-growth tech environment

  • A strong generalist background - comfortable going from strategic thinking to rolling up your sleeves on administrative tasks

  • Familiarity with HR platforms such as Rippling

  • Strong knowledge of California employment law and compliance

  • A people-first mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience building and scaling advanced compensation programs in emerging markets

Why This Role

  • Build the people foundation at one of the most ambitious robotics companies in the world

  • High ownership from day one - you'll shape HR processes, not just execute them

  • Work closely with leadership and have direct impact on company culture and employee experience
