YOUR MISSION

MURAL is looking for an experienced global team member to manage the operations of our LATAM region, in particular, the office in Buenos Aires. We are looking for someone who has a global mindset and has been a part of a high-growth startup with experience in building processes and systems from the ground up. You will report into the People Operations Director, based in the UK, and work closely with the rest of the Operations team, Business Partners, Payroll and Finance as well as senior leaders in the region.

In this role, you will: 

Be the main operator of all the LATAM region for HR aspects: 

  • Ensure we’re up to date with all labor law and local regulations
  • Manage relationship with local lawyers
  • Oversee the management of the Employee files, making sure they are up to date and accurate
  • Review and define any specific policy/procedure that should be implemented in Argentina
  • Working with finance and Compensation Global area to develop competitive compensation & benefits structures
  • Ensure information is updated on our internal site for team members
  • Answer daily employee inquires through our ticketing system, Slack or email in a  timely manner
  • Act as a “legal representative” of TACTIVOS SRL for any employee related issue.

Pre-boarding & On Boarding:

  • Define and review documentation that employees should sign when joining MURAL and any changes that should be made based on local regulations
  • Lead Office Hours for On Boarding new employees in Argentina

Off Boarding:

  • Define and review documentation that employees should sign when leaving MURAL and any changes that should be made based on local regulations
  • Execute any involuntary termination based on local regulations. Review if needed the case with lawyers and manage relationship with notary if required.

Payroll alignments: 

  • Define in coordination with Payroll, the management specifics of Argentina based on local regulations (items to include in the payslip, management of extra hours, etc)
  • Assess employees regarding the “Impuesto a las Ganancias” and follow up with Payroll and employees for the implementation of it.

Office Management: 

  • Ensure the correct administration of the Buenos Aires office in Argentina, overseeing the Office Manager's responsibility for: 
    • relationship with the landlord,ensuring contracts are up to date.
    • Health & Security regulations required
    • Insurance for the Buenos Aires office
    • Cleaning crew for the office
    • Manage all office and Facilities staff and activities
  • Review and define the procedure for the Office usage in Argentina and being the main point of contact within People Operations, within the Buenos Aires office
  • Assist with the co-working program management globally

Culture and community: 

  • Employee relations 
  • Events and communications
  • Local level gifts in alignment with Global plans

YOUR PROFILE

  • 3+ years experience within People Operations including office management
  • Strong experience in the Argentinian market, ideally the wider LATAM region too
  • Business level written and verbal Spanish and English
  • Proven organizational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to prioritize
  • Strong HRIS experience and ability to learn new software tools quickly
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation
  • Experience working in a global, fully or partially distributed organisation
  • Experience with global payroll and benefit administration from a People Operations position
  • Interest in design thinking and facilitating methodology
  • Experience in fast-growth startup and tech environments
