Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager supports Salas O’Brien’s Services (Corporate) teams, a dynamic and evolving group that operates with the pace and adaptability of a start-up within a growing organization. This role is responsible for delivering practical and people-centered HR solutions that enhance the team member experience while building, refining, and scaling HR processes to support continued growth.

This position requires comfort with ambiguity, a proactive mindset, and the ability to create structure where processes are developing. The HR Manager partners closely with Services leadership and cross‑functional HR teams to implement scalable, compliant, and business‑aligned solutions that strengthen team performance and organizational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

HR Partnership & Operations

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Services leaders on team member and organizational matters
  • Navigate ambiguity by developing practical solutions and establishing structure as needs evolve
  • Design, implement, and refine scalable HR processes that support growth and consistency
  • Partner with HR colleagues to align on best practices while tailoring solutions to Services teams

Team Member Experience & Programs

  • Support onboarding and team member lifecycle processes to ensure a seamless experience
  • Act as a primary HR contact for Services team members, providing guidance and problem resolution
  • Partner with Recruiting to support hiring efforts and enhance the candidate experience
  • Support workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership development initiatives

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Provide guidance on employment laws, policies, and HR best practices
  • Manage employee relations matters with sound judgment and a solutions‑oriented approach
  • Support performance management processes and coach leaders through feedback and development conversations
  • Identify engagement trends and recommend strategies to improve retention and culture

Strategic & Cross‑Functional Initiatives

  • Partner with leadership to implement programs that improve team effectiveness and scalability
  • Build and improve processes, tools, and frameworks to support a growing Services organization
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Recruiting, Payroll, Finance, and HR Operations teams

Qualifications and Experience

  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a fast‑paced or evolving environment
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations and build processes from the ground up
  • Strong experience in employee relations, talent management, and compliance
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with business leaders
  • Experience supporting corporate or shared services teams is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and communication skills

Location:  Remote – U.S. based
Travel:
Minimal expected

Compensation & Benefits

The expected base salary range for this role is $95,000 - $115,000 USD per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.

This role is also eligible for performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive U.S. based benefits package, including:
