Title Implementation Specialist

What You will Be Doing- Overall Job Description

The Implementation Specialist will assist our clients and the Implementation team with tasks related to ensuring a smooth implementation process.  The Implementation Specialist is responsible for preparing clients and Installation Specialists for installations and for ensuring the successful completion of each assigned project.  This position has no management responsibilities and works under moderate supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the transition from Sales to Implementation and verify orders are complete and accurate before project begins.
  • Establish scope of work for projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Gather and analyze client business requirements and determine appropriate technical system configuration to meet those needs.
  • Create supporting technical and system documentation.
  • Collaborate with site project team to schedule installations and create customized installation and training agendas.
  • Develop detailed timelines, track progress, and hold regular project status calls.
  • Ensure client site preparation prior to installation; verify hardware and software delivery, client network is ready and configured properly, hosted environment and/or servers are prepped, physical site preparation is complete, and resources are scheduled per the installation agenda.
  • Create hand-off documentation to prepare our Installation Specialists for successful deployments, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Manage the transition from Implementation to Support upon completion of the project.
  • Submit daily workload metrics in CBORD’s time tracking tool.  

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience installing and/or supporting Card Systems or Point of Sale systems (CBORD Odyssey Card System / Oracle Simphony POS system preferred)
  • Good understanding of Oracle Simphony and CBORD Odyssey (highly preferred)
  • Strong understanding of networking, wiring requirements, and IT terminology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management, decision-making, and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain a high level of thoroughness and accuracy while managing many projects and deadlines.
  • Self-directed with ability to follow process.

What’s Good to Know:

  • This position may require overtime during busy seasons and whenever there is increased volume or projects with short timelines.
  • Minimal travel may be required to attend annual department meetings or participate in our User Group Conference.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions.
