About the Role

Arch Systems is looking for an Industry Expert to bring deep, hands-on manufacturing and regulatory expertise into our most complex customer environments. This role is designed for a senior industry practitioner who has spent their career operating inside regulated, high-stakes production environments and can bridge manufacturing operations, IT, compliance, and advanced digital systems.

You will work directly with Arch customers in complex, compliance-driven manufacturing environments, in regulated industries like defense, aerospace, and automotive, helping them apply modern data platforms and AI-driven solutions while meeting strict requirements around data security, traceability, and audit readiness, including ITAR-restricted and FedRAMP-aligned contexts. This role partners closely with Arch’s product, engineering, and customer teams to ensure real-world manufacturing challenges are translated into scalable, compliant solutions.

This is a senior, customer-facing role requiring strong technical judgment, manufacturing credibility, and the ability to operate effectively across operations, IT, quality, and engineering teams.

What You Will Own & Drive

  • Act as a Trusted Industry Authority: Serve as a senior subject-matter expert for customers operating in regulated manufacturing environments, providing guidance on manufacturing systems, compliance considerations, and production best practices.
  • Bridge Manufacturing, IT, and Compliance: Help customers balance live production needs with IT, security, and regulatory constraints, including ITAR requirements, auditability, data security, and traceability.
  • Guide System Architecture in Regulated Environments: Support the definition and validation of manufacturing system architectures that integrate MES, automation, connectivity, and analytics platforms within compliance-driven frameworks.
  • Translate Production Challenges into Platform Solutions: Work with customers to convert real production problems into data-driven and AI-enabled solutions that improve operational performance while maintaining compliance.
  • Support MES and Digital Manufacturing Programs: Advise on MES selection, integration, deployment, and optimization, ensuring alignment with broader manufacturing and analytics strategies.
  • Enable Automation and Connectivity Initiatives: Contribute hands-on expertise across automation projects, machine integration, and industrial connectivity (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, REST APIs, brokers, and edge devices).
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with Arch’s product, engineering, and customer teams to ensure solutions reflect the realities of regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Lead Complex Programs End-to-End: Drive customer-facing initiatives from discovery through execution, aligning operations, IT, quality, and engineering stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Deep Industry Experience: Minimum of 15 years of hands-on experience in discrete manufacturing environments.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Experience: Proven experience operating within strict regulatory or compliance-driven frameworks. Ability to support ITAR-restricted programs and security-focused environments is required.
  • Manufacturing Operations Expertise: Strong background in live production environments with deep understanding of routing, work orders, quality systems, downtime tracking, and manufacturing KPIs.
  • MES Expertise: Extensive experience with MES systems, including defining, deploying, integrating, or optimizing MES within factory environments.
  • Automation & Machine Integration: Direct involvement in automation initiatives, PLC-based systems, and shop floor integration into IT or data platforms.
  • Industrial Connectivity Experience: Hands-on experience with multiple connectivity approaches such as OPC UA, MQTT, REST APIs, brokers, and edge architectures.
  • AI & Platform Experience: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with AI tools and platforms, including applying AI in manufacturing or production environments.
  • Technical Foundation: Basic programming knowledge and the ability to understand scripts, data flows, and system logic. Comfortable working closely with engineering teams.
  • Leadership & Communication: Proven ability to lead cross-functional programs end-to-end and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Language Skills: Strong English communication skills required
  • U.S. Work Authorization & Eligibility: Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident (green card holder) and eligible to work on defense-related and ITAR-restricted programs.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Demonstrated experience supporting highly regulated manufacturing environments
  • Ability to engage confidently with operations, IT, security, quality, and engineering leaders as a peer
  • Track record of defining or guiding manufacturing system architectures in compliance-driven contexts
  • Proven success translating production challenges into AI-driven, data-backed solutions
  • Strong customer presence built through years of operating in live production environments
  • Comfort operating autonomously in ambiguous, high-impact situations

How We Will Support You

  • Innovate with Impact: Join a team building advanced AI and data products that meaningfully improve manufacturing operations around the world. Your work will contribute directly to efficiency, sustainability, and technical agility for major industrial players.
  • Collaborative Environment: Work alongside a passionate, multidisciplinary team that values curiosity, open dialogue, and cross-functional collaboration. We foster an environment of continuous learning and shared success.
  • Growth & Development Opportunities: Develop leadership and technical skills through hands-on experience with product innovation, complex customer programs, and data-driven decision-making. Arch supports your long-term career advancement and deepening of industry expertise.
