This experienced relationship manager develops, builds, and manages a highly valuable portfolio of new or existing influencer partnerships, such as digital influencers, podcasts, digital events, author/artist/speaker relationships, digital media, and Internet Marketing. This relationship manager develops strategies for high-level partnerships that drive a large volume of revenue/sponsorships according to specified goals. At this career level, the she or he generally conducts major, complex revenue generating strategies for large Influencer Partnership initiatives. She or he may coach and oversee the work of other relationship managers.

What will you do?

  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintains a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully upholds Compassion’s ministry in prayer.

  • Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.

  • Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors

  • Strategizes and leads prospecting efforts for new and existing influencer relationships and develops a customized strategy for partnership with Compassion. Leads high-impact partnerships that enable Compassion to maximize all possible opportunities. Further, strategically develops and implements methods and plans which ensure long term retention and growth by maximizing the engagement of sponsors/donors and activities.

  • Manages marketing activities based on the potential of the partnership. Negotiates contract agreements, sets goals, and works to ensure the effective return on Compassion's investment in all influencer partnerships.

  • Develops and maintains potentially high-volume strategic relationships within new and existing channels, building a strong, growing network of relationships to maintain the highest visibility for Compassion to meet revenue goals. Strategizes growth opportunities within established channels and innovatively seeks out opportunities in emerging channels.

  • Maintains personal and highly customized communication through telephone, personal visits, and correspondence with relationships for the purpose of training, coaching and motivating channel relationships to further engagement and secure revenue across all Compassion product lines.

  • Casts the vision for involvement in Compassion’s ministry to high-profile digital influencers and other representatives by exposing them to the work in the field through vision trips. Serves as key participant and may lead Compassion tours and project visits, meetings, and special events.

  • Frequently responsible for various types of speaking engagements in both small and large group settings advocating for Compassion or Children in need.

  • Regularly coaches and provides expertise to other relationship managers in the Marketing Development discipline.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.

  • Seven years of proven relationship management experience with a track record of building, growing, and retaining strategic partnerships, ideally with influencers, creators, talent, agents, or other external stakeholders.

  • Experience sourcing and developing new partnerships by identifying opportunities, conducting outreach, and nurturing relationships that drive measurable engagement, acquisition, fundraising, or brand awareness results.

  • Strong understanding of the digital influencer ecosystem across platforms such as Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, podcasts, and emerging channels, with the ability to tailor strategies to specific audiences and creator brands.

  • Creative campaign planning and execution skills, including collaborating with partners to develop customized content and engagement strategies that align organizational goals with influencer interests and audience needs.

  • Exceptional collaboration, communication, and strategic thinking abilities, with experience working cross-functionally and balancing stakeholder priorities while advancing shared objectives; alignment with Compassion's Christian faith-based mission is essential.

  • Influencer marketing, entertainment industry, creator economy, or talent management experience.

  • Negotiation experience with external partners, talent representatives, or agencies.

Will you travel?

  • Yes, you may be required to travel up to 20-30% of normal schedule.
