WHO YOU ARE?

At AGU we are looking for individuals who want to learn something new every day, who welcome a challenge, and who are motivated to achieve results in a fast-paced environment. You will be a proactive and creative problem solver who enjoys collaborating across diverse teams.You will support the Design & Branding team in the creation of marketing materials, digital graphics, and creative materials.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Conceptualize, design, execute, and effectively communicate the strategic intent for creative solutions that consistently and clearly communicate AGU’s brand identity, vision, values, and messaging to a variety of critical target audiences.
  • Create designs for marketing materials, events, digital properties, social media, and other visual assets to support AGU’s goals, programs, and initiatives.
  • Research, develop and design magazine spreads, covers, in-house advertising, and web assets for Eos, AGU’s award-winning monthly news magazine, adhering to established production standards, schedules, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Works collaboratively and openly with the Strategic Communications and Marketing department on projects, ensuring that all work meets programmatic goals while following AGU’s brand standards.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING?

  • A Bachelor's degree in graphic design and/or current student or graduate graphic design program
  • Ability to convey complex ideas through imagery and design to support the achievement of key marketing and communications goals.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat, as well as the Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects at the same time on a tight deadline.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment.
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

HIRING SPECIFICS

  • Full Time/ Hourly, 3-month internship, This remote role is open to candidates based in most U.S. states (excluding WA, OR, and CA at this time).
  • Pay is $18.40 per hour.
