Job Overview:
  • Location: Immerse yourself in our innovative culture! This role requires a commitment of 4 days in-office per week at our facility in Garden Grove, CA as well as full-time hours (40 hours a week).
  • Duration: 11-14 weeks (Sep 8 to Dec 11 OR Sep 21 to Dec 4)
  • Relocation Support: A $1,000 relocation stipend is available for interns currently residing more than 50 miles from Garden Grove, CA.
  • Compensation: Earn an hourly rate of $25-35 USD per hour.
Job Summary:

The Corporate Legal Intern will support Harbinger’s General Counsel & Legal Team in handling a wide range of legal and business matters, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, commercial transactions, intellectual property, and government affairs. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-paced startup in the electric vehicle (EV) industry while working closely with a dynamic and cross-functional team. 

What You'll Do:
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising contracts (NDAs, supplier agreements, customer agreements, etc.).
  • Conduct legal research on compliance issues and incentives relevant to the commercial EV industry.
  • Work on government affairs initiatives, including policy research and engagement strategies.
  • Support JVs, partnerships and strategic transactions, including due diligence and documentation.
  • Assist in developing internal legal processes to enhance efficiency and risk management. 
What You'll Bring:
  • Currently enrolled in a J.D. program (1L or 2L preferred).
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Interest in corporate, commercial, regulatory, and transactional law.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn.
  • Interest in startups, hardware, automotive, or sustainability is a plus, but not a requirement.
