What you'll do

  • Assist Mobile Bot Hardware Engineering team with designing, documenting, building, testing and debugging of the latest technologies and engineering designs. 

  • Contribute to the conception, analysis, prototyping, detailed design, and validation of Mechanical, Electromechanical systems 

  • Design parts for various manufacturing processes, including machining, casting, sheet metal, plastics, and fabricated assemblies. 

  • Assemble electromechanical assemblies, fixtures utilizing hand tools, measurement equipment and machine tools 

  • Assist in debugging issues with the bot Mechanical and Electro-mechanical systems and components 
    Work with cross functional teams to verify designs and resolve issues. 

  • Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)    

 

What you'll need

  • Currently pursuing a MS degree in Mechanical Engineering with focus on Mechatronics hardware design  

  • Experience with basic lab equipment (Mechanical and Electrical) 

  • Proficiency with Solidworks or similar CAD tool

  • Prototyping and Machining Experience (Vertical Mill, Drill Press, Rapid Prototype, Lathe, etc.) 

  • Comfortable with presenting to peers, cross functional teams and senior team members 

Our Environment

  • Up to 10% or 25% of travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations. 

  • The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
