Intern - Production Control Unit

Based at Unichela (Private) Limited - Slimtex, Kuliyapitiya

We are seeking a highly analytical and proactive individual to support production planning, supplier coordination, delivery tracking, and performance analysis activities. The role offers valuable exposure to manufacturing operations, supply chain processes, data analytics, and business intelligence, with opportunities to develop reporting and dashboard solutions using Power BI.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of materials and production requirements.
  • Follow up on deliveries and monitor material flow to support uninterrupted production operations.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational and supply chain data to support decision making.
  • Support KPI monitoring, tracking, and performance reviews through regular reporting and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel to visualize operational performance.
  • Assist in identifying trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities through data driven insights.
  • Support production planning and control activities by maintaining accurate records and databases.
  • Prepare presentations, reports, and analytical summaries for management reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Planning, Production, Supply Chain, and Procurement to support operational objectives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and digitalization initiatives within the Production Control Unit.

 

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Undergraduate pursuing a degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering Technology, Physical Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Basic understanding of data analytics, reporting, and business intelligence concepts.
  • Ability to work with large datasets and generate meaningful insights.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
