- Assist in the setup, operation, and maintenance of laboratory test equipment and fixtures.
- Support the execution of product and material testing according to established test plans and procedures.
- Record, organize, and analyze test data, preparing basic charts, reports, and documentation.
- Assist in assembling and disassembling products, materials, and equipment for evaluation and testing purposes.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and operational instructions under guidance.
- Observe and evaluate test performance, documenting results accurately and reporting findings to engineers and laboratory staff.
- Operate laboratory equipment, measuring instruments, and computer systems as directed.
- Communicate professionally with internal teams and customers during test setup and evaluation activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within laboratory operations and processes.
- Adhere to the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and all physical and digital security requirements.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably in the final year of study.
- Available for a 3-6 month internship period.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn laboratory testing methods, engineering processes, and industry standards.
