Qualified Candidates must be rising juniors, seniors, or 2026 graduates of an accredited college or university within the past 12 months. You must be legally authorized to work in the US. Candidates must be able to work either June 2nd to August 6th or June 23rd to August 27th. For Summer 2026, our program will be hybrid from our downtown San Francisco office. Interns will come into the San Francisco office weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and work from home every Monday and Friday.   

 

SUMMARY  

The Digital Design Intern for Kendo will assist in creating visually appealing and effective designs for a variety of digital platforms including brand websites, email campaigns and performance marketing. They will work closely with Digital Designers & Directors, Copywriters, E-commerce, Global Creative and Brand/Marketing teams to understand project objectives and drive innovation. In addition, they will have the opportunity to learn and grow while contributing to the development of creative assets that enhance our brand identity and engage our target audience. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Support lead designer in execution of best-in-class, ROI-focused digital marketing for evergreen campaigns and promotions in all channels including site, email, SMS and performance marketing. 
  • Support brand communication strategy to design assets that improve the customer shopping experience and drive conversion. 
  • Assist in creating homepage and landing page mockups in Figma for responsive web experiences across desktop and mobile. 
  • Work on multiple projects concurrently and shift priorities as required to meet business requirements and deadlines, ability to execute projects quickly and accurately. 
  • Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics, when necessary. 
  • Strong graphic design fundamentals (ex: typography, color theory, hierarchy, contrast, and grid/alignments) 
  • Ensure all assets meet ADA compliance regulations prior to release. 
  • Ensure work is executed to brief while maintaining proper brand aesthetics and values. 
  • Demonstrate storytelling skills in a variety of settings, including sharing out work to stakeholders. 
  • Communicate rationale and design decisions to internal and external team members. 

 

REQUIREMENTS  

  • Rising junior, senior, or 2026 graduate of an accredited college or university within the past 12 months Graphic Design (or similar)  
  • Experience as a Digital Designer (or similar) with a portfolio showcasing digital projects, a plus. 
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite. 
  • Strong familiarity with Figma for site mockups and an understanding of UX/UI principles. 
  • Working knowledge of After Effects, a plus.
