We are actively seeking a IT Portfolio & Demand Management Analyst. The role will report directly to the Manager, IT Project Management. Qualified candidates can work remotely in the U.S.

Position Summary

The IT Portfolio & Demand Management Analyst is a strategic PMO role responsible for portfolio‑level visibility, demand intake, prioritization, capacity analysis, and financial reporting across the IT organization. This role enables executive decision‑making by providing clear, trusted insights into what work is being requested, what can be delivered, at what cost, and with what tradeoffs.

As the PMO’s primary portfolio analyst, this position allows Project Managers to focus on delivery execution while ensuring the IT PMO Director has the data, governance, and decision support required to operate at an enterprise level.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Portfolio Intake & Demand Governance
  • Own and administer the IT portfolio intake process, ensuring consistent data quality, routing, and governance across all incoming demand
  • Support AI‑assisted intake triage and classification to improve speed, consistency, and transparency
  • Maintain a clean, governed portfolio representing approved, in‑flight, and proposed work
Prioritization & Decision Support
  • Facilitate portfolio prioritization, including strategic alignment, business value, risk, and compliance
  • Produce scenario modeling and what‑if analysis to support investment decisions
  • Provide decision‑ready insights to PMO leadership and IT executives
Demand, Capacity & Resource Analysis
  • Develop and maintain demand vs. capacity views by role, team, and time horizon
  • Identify capacity constraints, over‑commitments, and sequencing risks
  • Support resource planning discussions with fact‑based analysis rather than anecdote
Executive Reporting & Portfolio Insights
  • Publish executive dashboards
  • Ensure reporting is clear, consistent, and trusted by IT leadership and Finance
Financial & Investment Reporting
  • Produce monthly budget, showback, and chargeback reporting in partnership with Finance
  • Track portfolio‑level spend and investment trends
  • Support IT financial transparency and cost governance objectives
SPM Tool Administration
  • Serve as the System Admin / functional owner for the Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) tool
  • Drive tool adoption and ensure the SPM platform is treated as a reliable system of record
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in PMO, portfolio management, demand management, or IT financial/operational analytics
  • Strong experience with portfolio intake, prioritization, and executive reporting
  • Proven ability to build demand vs. capacity models
  • Experience producing financial, showback, or chargeback reporting for IT
  • Hands‑on experience administering or supporting SPM tools (e.g., ServiceNow SPM, Planview, Clarity, Azure DevOps, or similar)
  • Strong data analysis, dashboarding, and storytelling skills
  • Comfortable partnering with Finance and senior IT leadership
Preferred
  • Experience in enterprise IT environments with multiple delivery teams
  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled tooling or analytics in PMO or portfolio contexts
  • Understanding of IT investment and governance frameworks

The general salary range for this type of role is 103k - 120k depending on skills and experience. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be based on several factors such as: a candidate's location, and the level of applicable skills and professional experience. Rimini’s target pay for each position is available upon request during the applicant’s Interview process.
