The Role

We are seeking an IT/IS Specialist to be responsible for managing and supporting the company's user support, technology infrastructure, software systems, and cybersecurity.  This position ensures employees have reliable access to business applications, protects company data, and continually improves technology solutions that increase operational efficiency.  The IT/IS Specialist serves as one of the technology resources for the organization and works closely with all departments to identify, implement, and maintain technology that supports company growth.

Responsibilities

Information Technology

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, tablets, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
  • Maintain company Wi-Fi and network infrastructure.
  • Perform routine system updates and software installations.
  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Coordinate with third-party IT vendors and service providers.

Information Systems

  • Support company CRM, ERP, and business software.
  • Support employee access to cloud applications.
  • Configure software integrations and workflows.
  • Maintain company databases and digital records.
  • Assist departments with software optimization.
  • Document system configurations and procedures.
  • Develop technology standards and best practices.

Technical Support

  • Respond promptly to employee technology requests.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide software training for employees.
  • Support remote users and field personnel.
  • Maintain an IT help desk ticketing process.
  • Escalate complex issues when necessary.

Equipment Management

  • Maintain inventory of all technology assets.
  • Track computers, tablets, mobile phones, and accessories.
  • Coordinate equipment purchases.
  • Configure devices for new employees.
  • Recover and reset equipment from departing employees.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and replaced according to lifecycle standards.

Data Management

  • Ensure data accuracy across company systems.
  • Maintain file organization and permissions.
  • Monitor storage capacity.
  • Implement backup procedures.
  • Protect confidential business information.

Cybersecurity

  • Support and monitor cybersecurity policies.
  • Support antivirus, endpoint protection, and firewalls.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity.
  • Ensure secure password policies are followed.
  • Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery testing.
  • Educate employees on phishing, cybersecurity awareness, and data protection.
  • Maintain compliance with company security standards.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to automate business processes.
  • Recommend new software solutions.
  • Recommend workflow efficiency through technology.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Assist leadership with technology planning to support employee growth.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in a fast-paced IT/IS environment.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of Windows, MacOS, Intune, Microsoft 365, Zoom, networking, and cloud-based systems.
  • Experience supporting CRM and business management software.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.

Compensation

Offers are based on a combination of experience, skills, and location. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role is $75,000-$90,000 per year for Hayward, CA.
