Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Position Type: Contract (12 months)

Job Description: Company is seeking a passionate and experienced IT Support Engineer II to join our San Diego office. This role sits at the intersection of IT support, infrastructure, and cloud operations, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient IT services for internal stakeholders across global teams. You will play a key role in end-user support, infrastructure management, and automation — helping drive operational excellence and supporting company's rapid business growth across the Americas, Europe, and APAC. This position reports to the IT Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide L1/L2 support for endpoints including desktops, laptops, mobile devices (Android/iOS), and Zebra printers
  • Guide and support associates in day-to-day operational processes, especially around shipping and logistics tools and workflows
  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure IT infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless access points
  • Deploy and manage physical, virtual, and cloud server environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Administer Windows and Linux servers and perform patch management and system updates
  • Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell, Python, etc.) to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency
  • Develop, test, and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures
  • Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and monitor system health via tools such as Zabbix and Nagios
  • Create and maintain knowledge base documentation, troubleshooting procedures, and SOPs
  • Participate in on-call rotation, including occasional weekend support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (Master's preferred)
  • 1+ years of professional experience in IT Support and IT Operations
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks including Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Level Management
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or equivalent
  • Experience with networking, system administration, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum project management methodologies preferred
  • Fluent in written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese (both required)
