Locations:

Compa headquarters are located in Irvine, California, with growing sites in Denver, Colorado and San Francisco, California. We’re a collaborative, curious, and driven team that values transparency, ownership, and continuous learning and prioritizing in person work where possible.

The Role:

Compa is looking for a Jr. Finance & Strategy Analyst to help build and scale our finance function as we grow. This role goes beyond traditional planning and reporting—you’ll be deeply embedded in the business, partnering with leaders across engineering, GTM, and operations to drive decision-making.

We operate with high velocity and constant change. Finance at Compa is expected to be both strategic and hands-on: developing insights, improving processes, and owning financial operations that keep the business running smoothly. You’ll help shape how we deploy capital, measure performance, and hit our targets.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support core FP&A workflows, including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking

  • Build financial models and decision-making frameworks to support engineering, GTM, and product

  • Partner cross-functionally with leaders to guide resource allocation (e.g. headcount planning, vendor spend, infrastructure investments)

  • Work with engineering to structure and surface expenses for review and optimization

  • Drive ad hoc analyses on growth, pricing, unit economics, and strategic initiatives

  • Contribute to board materials, investor reporting, and long-term planning

  • Support day-to-day financial operations including invoicing, billing, taxes, and collections tracking

  • Help implement and improve finance systems, reporting tools, and internal dashboards

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent

  • 0–2 years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance

  • Strong analytical and modeling skills (Excel/Sheets proficiency required)

  • Bias for action and comfort working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

  • Strong ownership mindset; proactively identifying problems and driving solutions

Nice to Have

  • Worked in a startup or high-growth company

  • Experience supporting R&D/engineering as a finance partner

  • Experience with B2B SaaS sales motions

  • Familiarity with pricing models or credits based pricing strategies

  • Exposure to procurement, invoicing, or billing processes

  • Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite)

  • Basic knowledge of Hubspot or other CRMs
