Join Sigma Software as a Junior Test Engineer and contribute to a long-term project that directly improves public administration efficiency. You will be part of a team building and enhancing a grant management system used across Denmark and Sweden, helping caseworkers handle grants objectively and effectively.

CUSTOMER

Our customer operates within the public sector, primarily in Denmark, with additional clients in Sweden. They deliver innovative digital solutions that enhance administrative workflows and caseworker productivity. Known for their commitment to user-centric design and compliance with public sector regulations, they create systems that have a tangible impact on communities.

PROJECT

The project is a grant management system designed to streamline the administration of grants, ensuring objective case handling by caseworkers. It includes an existing desktop client for Windows and a new web client currently in development, aimed at improving caseworker performance. The solution is widely used in the Danish public sector, with growing adoption in Sweden.

Job Description

  • Execute test cases and document test results for web and mobile applications
  • Collaborate with the development team and product manager to clarify requirements and system functionality
  • Create and maintain test cases, scenarios, and checklists for system functionality
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, including completed test cases, bugs found, and blockers
  • Prepare test summary reports and clear documentation of test results
  • Participate in team meetings (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives)
  • Suggest improvements to testing processes and methodologies

Qualifications

  • Understanding of different types of testing (functional, non-functional, regression, etc.)
  • Understanding of SDLC and testing methodologies
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Good knowledge of test design techniques and ability to create comprehensive documentation
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and grow in software testing
  • Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • English: At least Intermediate written and spoken

WOULD BE A PLUS:

 

  • Experience in testing desktop applications
  • Basic database and SQL knowledge
  • Experience with ALM tools (e.g., Azure DevOps)
