ActiveHours is seeking a Lead Product designer to help us revolutionize employees' access to their pay. By getting in on the ground floor, you will reshape the ActiveHours experience across the board, from branding to native product design, and from strategy to execution.
As a qualified candidate, you love to crystalize each experience down to its essence. You use animation and custom interactions sparingly, but forcefully, and have the technical chops to provide prototypes demonstrating your ideas. You ride the line between art and pragmatism with grace and style, seeking perfection while remaining open to lessons learned through iterative releases.
Create a unified personality for ActiveHours on iOS, Android, activehours.com, as well as both marketing and support emails.
Influence product specifications and execute design work with a high level of polish.
Know how to present your work effectively, and articulately communicate design rationale to stakeholders.
4+ years shipping customer-centric mobile designs
Ability to innovate and delight through carefully crafted user experiences across all platforms
Ability to generate comprehensive information architecture, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes for iOS, Android, web, and email
Excellent graphic design skills (layout, typography, color)
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Mastery of design tools: Illustrator, Photoshop, or equivalent (pick your tools!)
Mastery of one or more prototyping tools
Ability to generate pixel-perfect production assets
Superb attention to detail
Ability to work well on an ego-free, highly collaborative, and cross-functional team
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
