ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)

KeyBank is seeking a transformative, results-driven Lead Product Manager for our Core Treasury product organization.  Reporting directly to the Leader of CORE/ Digital Products, this role is responsible for developing and executing product vision, defining the roadmap, and ensuring the successful delivery of key initiatives that drive company growth and enhance the customer experience for real time payment products including Core Treasury products and other modern money move solutions such as Ledgering, Payment Rails and other Money Movement products for Key’s commercial businesses, which includes Business Banking, Middle Market, Large Corporate, and National Industry Verticals.

This Lead Product Manager will partner closely with executives, leaders and cross-functional teams across the firm to strengthen Key’s position as a leading payments provider by modernizing the portfolio for a faster, more digital, and more integrated client experience to drive deposit and fee revenue growth.  They will help define and drive a focused strategic and execute initiatives that accelerate revenue, deepen client value, and enhance competitiveness.  Additionally, they will work extensively with the business development teams, clients, and external partners to shape solutions, bring new products to market successfully, and expand distribution.

The foundation for success in this role is deep experience across money movement, instant payments, and fraud solutions, combined with a command of the global payments landscape, including competitive dynamics, digital product enablement, operational realities, and the evolving regulatory and risk environments.  Equally important, the candidate is an authentic and strategic leader who inspires high-performing teams, brings clarity to complexity, influences effectively across a matrixed organization, and leads with integrity, resilience, and a clear sense of purpose.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions

  • Develop and execute product strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from concept to launch and iteration
  • Evaluate and prioritize opportunities using data and customer insights
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales for solution delivery and go-to-market execution
  • Analyze product performance and feedback to drive improvements
  • Mentor junior team members and promote best practices
  • Represent the product internally and externally
  • Design, modify, and develop new product portfolios and services
  • Recommend pricing, positioning, and channel strategies
  • Monitor and report on acquisition performance metrics
  • Assess market and regulatory changes, recommending adjustments as needed
  • Ensure compliance and legal standards for product offerings and distribution
  • Track competitors and forecast industry trends
  • Oversee forecasting accuracy, performance measurement, and client experience
  • Negotiate and manage vendor relationships and contracts
  • Collaborate on marketing campaigns and measure results
  • Lead initiatives per project plans and ensure successful outcomes
  • Consult with leadership on innovation and portfolio enhancements
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Adhere to all company policies and ethical standards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of treasury management or commercial liquidity product management experience
  • Experience leading a team, driving complex product portfolios and projects, and delivering revenue growth
  • Experience in treasury services, including payables, receivables, money movement, and liquidity account structuring
  • Deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, including competitive market dynamics, regulatory and risk frameworks, and the digital capabilities required to modernize and scale product delivery
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $128,000.00 - $268,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
